John, the owner, was very welcoming and worried about the construction works going on in the city which left us without water for few hours which was not a problem at all and which happens once a decade. In the apartement you will find everything you need, including a well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, biscuits, cake and a bottle of wine and water. The bed is very comfortable and as it is in the upper level, it also gets cozy and warm when putting wood in the fire place. All in all a very nice and charming place to stay in Portel.
