The host is extremely kind, considerate and accommodating. I actually felt like a guest, as opposed to just being the next person who gets to sleep there. It is also writhing equal walking distance of virtually every faculty of the university and the city centre.

I usually prefer smaller, independent hotels to the big institutional “standard issue” ones, and I can recommend the friendly Hotel Domus to anyone who shares this preference. Its location was great, within easy walking of much that you will want to see in central Coimbra, and with a number of restaurant and pasty shops nearby. The bed was comfortable, the expanded continental-type breakfast was very good, and my room television even picked up several English-language channels (not that anyone goes to Coimbra to watch television, but during the mid-December rains I encountered, this came in rather handy at times!). I would gladly stay here again. (Note: this site placed a tiny Spain flag under my name -- not a big deal, but I'm actually from the USA.)

Amazing location. Bang in the centre of town. Fabulous view. Great bar. Excellent beer. Great nibbles at the bar. Fantastic shower. Comfortable bed and pillows. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Hotel is on a perfect location, overlooking the river. Train station is within 5 minute walking distance. All of the things you should see are very close by. The room was very clean, there I say perfectly clean. The bed was very comfortable - mine was on a firmer side, which is my preference; great for a good rest. There are plenty of cafes/restaurants and stores in the same street, easy to grab a bite to eat.

This is one of the best hotels in central Coimbra. It's run by a warm and welcoming family who are both kind and highly professional. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city, perfect for exploring everything on foot. A great choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a personal touch.

Lovely low key gem. No fuss. Staff very responsive and warm. Good breakfast. Decor a shade dated but in a retro boutique hotel it's not a problem.
