the Quinta is very lovely. It is a simple home about 15 min outside of the town driving. We eat 3 dinners here. the food was excellent authentic Portuguese cooking. Elio was also right on with his touring recommendations in the area which were really helpful.

This bed and breakfast is very special. Several cozy, spacious rooms are set next to a beautiful river in the peaceful village of Sandomil. This charming bed and breakfast is where we always stay in this area because you are instantly relaxed and in vacation mode the moment you step foot on the property. This hotel is run by a lovely couple that are very hands on to your needs, very friendly and helpful to give you recommendations on restaurants, hikes and things to see in the area. They also make an amazing breakfast each morning and will make an amazing gourmet dinner upon request. The rooms are decorated with such personal touches and the views and tranquility of grapes, mountains and river views, you could sit and relax on a swing or lounge chair outside the room for hours. Sunsets with a glass of wine are amazing there also. I would highly recommend this!!
Providing mountain views, Casa do Fundo - Sustainable & Ecotourism in Seia provides accommodations, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar.

Very nice, peaceful location with a garden, good breakfast with local cheese and honey, helpful and friendly staff.
We forgot some things in the room and don Pedro was so kind to send it all back to us. And we got a bottle of local wine as goodbye gift. It was very calm and pleasant stay.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Seia this weekend is $94 or, for a 4-star hotel, $111. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Seia for this weekend cost around $251 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).

The only issue was I thought we were getting one space and we got another. Otherwise, the place was beautiful and clean. The hosts were beyond gracious...welcoming, wonderful. We will definitely go back. It was an extraordinary and wonderful trip.

Nice little town.
Nice little town.
I is a little uncharacteristic nowadays, with some new uncontrolled construction
Still, you're able to find some nice spots for a couple of photos and good places to visit and also eat

Only went into Seia once during our stay but wished we'd spent more time there. Difficult time to review things because of all the restrictions at the moment. Recommend Taberna to eat, great food and lovely service.

Perfect getaway from busy life.
Perfect getaway from busy life. At the foothills of serra de estrela, the tiny villages, especially Sandomil, was a great break. The hosts at Sandomil RiverBeach Nest were fantastic. The house by the river is relaxing and zen. I would definitely come back.

Quiet, calm, pleasant and spacious city, many shops and offices, you can solve any issue, from shoe repair to laptop repair. There are 3 interesting and unique museums (Bread, hydropower and toys), several good roads to the mountains, clear water in the tap, a lot of forests and springs. Good Italian, Neapolitan pizzeria in the city center with an outgoing owner and quality pizza.
This was a wonderful stay that went above and beyond our expectations. The room had a panoramic one way window with the view of the mountains, a sunny terasse, it was clean, big and comfortable. Outside, you can hear the gentle sound of the river. There is even a mini fridge and a coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was spectacular. For all the vegans out there, this was the first place in Portugal that offered vegan options. The host was also super nice and friendly. We had an amazing time.
Every now and then you stumble across a Hotel that's a gem and that for me is this one. on the edge of the Serra de Estrella. The hotel is a minute or two's walk from the town centre of Seia, bars, restaurants, shops etc. has a pool to relax, excellent rooms and good food, breakfast a rare treat full of local produce and home made cakes ! I would definitely stay again.
