Located in the beautiful historical village of Sortelha, 6.2 mi from Sabugal, O Cantinho da Ana offers 3 rustic and renovated stone-walled houses that can accommodate up to 10 guests. Ana was so welcoming and yet kept her distance to maintain our privacy. All the food and treats were very unexpected and a wonderful addition to cozy accommodation that is already very well priced. It felt like coming to the home of an old friend or family. Would recommend you stay here.
Casa Da Lagariça / Casa Da Calçada offers 2 self-catering houses with stone walls set in a traditional farmhouse dating from 1768. Besides being located in what must be one of the most beautiful towns in Portugal, the apartment was comfortable and clean, and the host was extremely generous and welcoming.
Located in Sortelha in the Região Centro region, Casa da Vila has a terrace. Guests staying at this vacation home can use the fully equipped kitchenette. The breakfast was what one would expect from a place like this. Nothing fancy but normal, honest items, such as bread, cheese, ham, jam (pumpkin and 2 other flavors), milk, orange juice and coffee. When I needed more I just asked Sandra and I was given more. Other kitchen/food related items that I asked for were also generously supplied. If you like peace, quite, historical locations and this should be right up your alley! :)
Providing free WiFi throughout the property, a sun terrace with a swimming pool, shared lounge and garden, Casa do Castelo is located in Sortelha. Sortelha is a dream come true, and this property is the perfect match to such a magical village. The building, although built relatively recently, reminds of a medieval castle both on the granite façade as well as the carefully organized interior. The house belongs to a woman who now lives in another city, and therefore has a very homey feel to it. The fridge was full of food to eat and some things to cook. Although you won't feel in the 21st century, there are all the necessary kitchen appliances, enough wall plugs to charge electronic devices, and all the amanities and space you need. From the trap-door accessed rooftop, there are amazing views from the top of the town or Sortelha and the historic village as well, which is 100 paces down the road from the property. The hosts are very friendly and responsive despite the fact that there is essentially no phone carrier service in this area and the internet in the house is very slow. Make sure to schedule your arrival with the host, as when you arrive you will find it impossible to contact them. Us personally had a delayed train, and when we arrived in the evening there was nobody to receive us. Thankfully the neighbors who spoke french managed to ask another neighbor to contact a person who notified the host of our arrival.. small town things!
Located in Sabugal in the Região Centro region, Casa da Azenha II has a terrace. Located in a small village, made of stone in quiet area. The best place if you would like to stay and relax, you may loose mobile connection inside :) charming place, fully equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace, nice owners.
Sortelha is an astonishingly pretty, small jewel in stone. One can travel to the Middle Age once he has trespassed the village gate. Everything is harmony. Visit every small street and passage cause there is a surprise round every corner. Don't miss any of its 3 or 4 bars.
