Perched on a hill with a panoramic view of Nyungwe forest, this is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding national park. The pictures online don’t do this place justice! We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights here - from a delicious welcome drink on our arrival to cleaning our boots after a days hiking and hot water bottles in the beds at night, the staff were all excellent! The food was great and we were offered a choice of taking our breakfast early before chimpanzee tracking or taking it to go - normally packed hotel breakfasts are disappointing but this was one of the best - freshly prepared fruit, pizza, cookies and cakes - it was delicious and perfect after a mornings hiking! If you are coming to Nyungwe Forest National Park (which is a must if you visit Rwanda!) then you absolutely have to stay here! Thank you to all of the staff who made our time here special!

The Resort is perfectly situated right on Lake Kivu. It’s also very close to Nyungwe National Park, so you can spend the night here when doing activities in the park. The food in the restaurant is also good. Daniel is also a great host. He helped us in the very early morning when we had a flat tire. Thanks a lot, we are very grateful!

The view on the tea plantation and eucalyptus forest is amazing. A lot of monkeys are passing by, we laugh very much. The team is very kind, the room is wide and ultra clean. The food is very good. No mosquitos because of the altitude.

Great place to use as a base for Nyungwe activities. The team, especially Albert, are very helpful and attentive and the food was very good. Make sure to try out the optional cultural activities as well. All were excellent and very easy to arrange through the lodge.
