Located in Abisko, Lovely house in Abisko provides self-catering accommodations with a terrace and free WiFi. This country house has a garden. Linnea was very responsive and helpful. The house was very comfortable and roomy. Loved the sauna!
This guest house is in the center of Abisko and next to Abisko National Park. Depending on the season, the midnight sun and the Northern Lights can be viewed from the property and surrounding area. I had a wonderful stay at the Abisko Guesthouse! I was able to get one of the one bedroom apartments room 26 to stay in for 4 days. It was clean and had many kitchen amenities as the town of Abisko does not have restaurants. You can cook to your heart's desire! I felt right at home. The location was great! One minute walk to the local grocery that had a big selection of items; and about a short 3 minute walk to the train station. They offer many tours to make everything easier. If you sign up for tours from other companies besides the hotel, what's great is you are always the last to be picked up (meaning you don't have to be on the bus early going around to other hotels picking people up) and the first to be dropped off at the end of a tour. In the reception, they sell souvenirs as there are no shops around. They also lend you thick overalls, boots, wool socks, gloves, and hats for free which they keep on a store room you can access. Do take advantage of that as it was very cold. I came mid February. The staff is super friendly and the owner really cares about his guests and their experience. I highly recommend this place!

Lots of activities available. Good atmosphere. Had an excellent Snowmobile tour with Anna - saw reindeer and moose in the wild along with great views of the mountain and countryside.
This hotel is in Abisko Ski Resort, just 2 minutes’ walk from Abisko Östra Train Station. Mountain Lodge’s in-house restaurant has a seasonal menu based on locally sourced ingredients. Excellent service! Even though we were late for breakfast we were allowed to sit back and enjoy it.
Located in Abisko, Abisko Hostel has free WiFi. Providing a shared lounge, the property is located within 2.1 miles of Linbana. Abisko is 2.1 miles away. Warm and comfortable place with everything you need. Nice size rooms with windows and large kitchen. Communal area is small but adequate. Easy access to grocery store (<5mins) and lake. Trails right of town take you to the park. Easy walk from train. Really enjoyed my stay and best value in Abisko!
Set 155 mi above the Arctic Circle, in Björkliden, the ski-to-door access Hotell Fjället offers views of the Lapporten Valley.
Set 155 mi above the Arctic Circle, in Björkliden, the ski-to-door access chalets at Kåppas Cabin Village overlook the Lapporten Valley. Great place to stay in Abisko and explore the great Alpine area. We could see the northern lights on our first night from the Aurora viewpoint the cabin village offers. Highly pleased.
Katterjokk Turiststation offers pet-friendly accommodations in Riksgränsen. Free private parking is available on site. All rooms have a dining table. Some rooms feature a private kitchenette. Receptionist was extremely helpful

Abisko was like a box of surprises, I didn’t know much about the place before arriving there, so as I got out of the train and saw all the accessible mountains with fresh snow and the sun light so beautiful I got very curious to go out and explore. Abisko has so many trails leading to the national park, to Laporten Mountain, river cannon and other mountain tops, as well as a beautiful lake which you can skii and ice-skate during winter months. The grocery store is quite affordable considering the remoteness and does have a large variety of produce including plenty vegan / vegetarian options. The Turiststation has a restaurant, the only in town for a great price all you can eat buffet. A beautiful place to spend anytime of the year :))
Beautiful place! Nice hikes. Had an amazing dinner at Abisko mountain lodge!!! Taking chairlift to the sky station is very expensive and not necessary, you can see northern lights everywhere. We rented a car in Kiruna and loved the flexibility that it gave us but train station is right in town and very convenient. We liked the hike in the canyon starting at the information office at the entrance to the park. Info station only opened at 3 pm.
Abisko made us witness the magical northern lights on our first night here!!! Such a place to relax and detach oneself from the busy life in the city. You have to plan ur days of stay here because there are no taxis/buses which come often...
For the purpose of seeing the northern lights our trip was too short. A week is recommended. The whole town is not for the faint hearted , in winter the conditions force you to either prepare for a battle against the elements or to stay indoors and rock a sodoku. If there is a chance of checking the forecast, do just that.
Abisko is a great place to visit with all the fun activities besides is one of the best locations to see aurora borealis in the world. I recommend snowmobile tour as well to see the area easily. You should also go to Narvik which is a Norwegian city 2 hours to Abisko and also sky station for aurora borealis. The canyon near the Abisko tourist station and National Park is a must to see as well.
The nature and scenery was beautiful, but there was not much to do. We had planned to stay there for two nights, but it was just so lond without things to do. We also could not see the northern lights which we had gone for.

Friendly & helpful staff, we were allowed to wait inside until check-in time. During our stay, the wi-fi did not work but they managed to have an 'emergency' solution :) There is supermarket near by open 'till 20 o'clock. We saw northen light from our room :)
