Karlskrona was a wonderful surprise for us as we were just stopping over on our way to another destination. We had some extra time, so we visited the Maritime Museum which is excellent and a must-see experience.

I stayed in Karlskrona one night to help my son get started at his new school.
I will visit Karlskorna again and that time a bit longer.
It will be in the spring or in the summer when I imagine Karlskrona is more pleasant to visit.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city. But the county (kommun) seems not to deeply understand what it means to have a city that is a UNESCO world heritage site. They insist on modern but ugly buildings and asphalt parking lots everywhere. A friend of mine describes it as "technocracy". Those who decide have in mind to facilitate their own work and lower costs, it is easier to maintain a paved parking lot than a garden or a path with flowers around it. It is more profitable to have parking lots than green areas and parks. A land is more profitable than caring for a rocky area. And this is done by taking over small community projects and even the municipal plan itself. A sadness. It will all end in a couple of pompous buildings and lots of parking lots and private buildings with balconies. A shame simply because the asphalt does not have to be cared for and the gardens do. State laziness. It is easier and cheaper to maintain asphalt than a garden.
...Its very windy, good and warm clothes! :)

Karlskrona is a small town, located by the sea.
Karlskrona is a small town, located by the sea. Wonderful views, beautiful nature and kind people.
Nice restaurants, especially Antonios, Mont Martre and Elsas lilla krog. Also good food at Arts thai but no alcoholic drinks there. Very nice food.
Go by boat to Nättraby, and visit a small medieval church at the last stop. Go to Aspö by ferry without any costs. Go swimming and visit "Kastellet".
The apartment was a home away from home. New, clean and well equipped, furnished and immaculate. The owner was exceptionally brilliant and went over and above throughout my entire stay from picking me up from the train station, showing me the facilities, running through the local attractions, sorting out breakfast the way I want it, helping me get some medication from the chemist when the local ones were closed and offering me a ride to the office. AAA-star rating!
The staff were very nice, and the check-in instructions were very clear. I love all the personal touches around the environment. It was just so cozy and felt like home. I had to use my laptop and they thoughtfully offer laptop table. The kitchen was spacious and all are well organized. We were very satisfied with our stay.
Old stylish hotel in the center of pretty nice city karlskrona. In front of the hotel you find restaurants & shopping possibilities. We had a nice stay and also paid only 900sek for family with breakfast. Hotel is like a museum especially breakfast hall. Its maybe not fully perfect renovated but it was ok.
The city is not big, so almost everything is central. In the end, location of the hotel is good. Rooms are ok, bathroom a bit outdated, shower very basic. The beer is great for a welcome drink. Breakfast all good, plenty of food of different types and great drinks.
Reception lady very cool.
The staff was absolutely wonderful and super helpful! We had such a great stay, comfy, city center and very delicious breakfast!
The service from the staff was perfect! Anything she could fix, she tried and was honest and open! She gave us that little-cherry - on top service feeling!!
I liked the kitchen which was clean and free tea since for short stays I usually don't bring it with me
also I have a problem with train and come 2 hours late fot check in to the hotel with no phone and still manage to check in without any problem for what I was extremly grateful
Very nice Hotel, super nice rooms and the most friendly staff ever. We brought our dog and they made us feel very welcome, the dog got at welcome package with treats. The hotel is right down to the marina and a short walk to downtown.
Lovely breakfast with a lot to choose from
The breakfast was good. The location was excellent, close to the city center and very close to the Karlskrona Marine Museum. There are many restaurants nearby or within a short walking distance. Beer is exceptional at the hotel restaurant, must try!
Both shared living rooms were unbelievable cosy and we felt really like home. Owners gave us valuable tips for restaurants & activities in Karlskrona and offered us everything we could wish for. Probably the best breakfast we ever had in an B&B
Set in a beautiful rural location very peaceful, we stayed in the old schoolhouse, it was everything that I was looking for. Relaxing quiet and traditional. The hosts where very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.
Great location & amazing staff. Also the room had absolutely everything we needed (+ heavenly pillows!)
The breakfast buffet offered suprisingly wide variety for a boutique hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious.
Location and closeness to the center with restaurants and stores.
Breakfast was great.
Information and directions before and under the stay was exemplary.
