Housed in a local landmark in the center of Tolmin, Hotel Dvorec offers a bar, garden and a terrace. It comes with free WiFi, free parking and an arched wine cellar dating from the 17th century. I liked the room. The stuff was very kind and polite. I liked the environment. It was very chill and we relaxed a bit from work and stuff. There was no mess.

Clean, comfortable bed, high quality en-suite, homely with interesting antique furniture & artwork. Excellent breakfast with various handmade fruit bowls, pastries, & excellent coffee. Breakfast was outside on the balcony looking down the valley, or inside if you wished.

I forgot my thermo bottle in the room, and they sent it back to Hungary to me. Breakfast is okay. Beautiful surroundings and views. Nice room and bathroom, great jacuzzi. I should be 4 stars.

Tomlinson was a great stop on our hiking adventure. The gorge and castle ruins were good to see and with it being a bigger town then we had been in on our travels we were able to restock our hiking supplies.

Great base for getting out to other hiking areas waterfalls and canyons. The Town centre is dated and quite dirty. Only a few restaurants all with the same items on the menu, but all good quality and very low prices.

Tolmin is heaven on earth.
Tolmin is heaven on earth. Especially in the festival season in the town. The rivers Tolminka and Soca meet, and it's the perfect cooling down in the hot hot heat (it was 32 degrees Celsius). The surrounding area is Slovene Alps at its best with countless activities from biking, paragliding, mountain climbing and canyoning. It has one of the best festivals in Slovenia every summer, and it's a must visit.

Nice quiet place, not many tourists. Beautiful gorge to walk which again was not busy. It’s a quaint little town with few restaurants and ideal for those looking for outdoor activities off the beaten track. Also if you choose to do the boat tour (which requires a short drive) best deal is to have lunch on it. It’s 14 euro for 2/3 courses including 2.5 hour boat ride. Otherwise you pay for 1 hour boat ride with no food for 8 euro.

Cute little town with breathtaking surroundings, very tourist-friendly, perfect for active holidays. Having a car helps a lot, makes the whole region very accessible, but train is a second best option as well. Restaurant Labrca at the river bank is a must. Excellent food, friendly staff.

Beautiful area with alot of activities. We stayed for 3 days to do some hiking routes which was perfect for us. You can spent more days if you want to do more activities like rafting, paragliding, kayaking, canyoning, ziplines etc. there were not alot of restaurants in Tolmin itself and we ate at a restaurant named lbrca for 3 days in a row which offers very tasty and affordable food (beware the portions are really big!)

From $231 per nightWe arrived at the house without really knowing what to do in Tolmin, and the owner was happy to give us a list of the best local tips right away :) We could also use his canoe on the river close by, what ended up being one of our nicest days in Tolmin! And one day, the umbrella got damaged, which was fixed within 24h... Story short: the owner is always stand-by to fix problems and answer questions right away, so you can totally stay in holiday mode... We even shared a BBQ and some drinks together, just because the vibe was good ;)

He showed us the apartment and gave us very nice local gifts: fresh coffee, cheese, handmade drink and his mother’s cake which was delicious. The apartment was really nice and comfortable with great views from the terrace. We stayed 3 nights and felt like home. It is very close to Tolmin and less than an hour to Bovec. We recommend Garden 13 if you plan to visit the Soča Valley. You will enjoy it 😊
