We had a truly wonderful stay at Mai Siam Resort, hosted by such a kind and caring family. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. What we loved most: The resort is family-owned, giving it a very personal and genuine atmosphere. Only two bungalows, each set back and private, surrounded by a jungle-like setting. We loved hearing the natural sounds around us and enjoying the peace and quiet. Our bungalow was spacious, with a large open bathroom and traditional Thai-style decor. Amenities included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bottled water, umbrellas, and even an extra blanket. Breakfast was a highlight: we could choose our own time, and it included fresh local fruit, homemade banana muffins, breads, yogurt, eggs cooked to order, fresh orange juice, and coffee or tea. Erik and Pranee are incredibly kind, attentive hosts. For a fair price, they drive guests to local destinations. Our day trip to Mae Kampong was unforgettable — we visited an elderly basket weaver (a favorite stop), hiked through the jungle to a waterfall, and enjoyed a delicious lunch with a beautiful view along Walking Street. Bikes are available to borrow, and the water reservoir and Mueang On Cave are close by for exploring. Throughout our stay, there were thoughtful little surprises that made our weekend especially memorable. Mai Siam Resort is a hidden gem — quiet, authentic, and full of heart. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for such a special experience.

Exactly what I was looking for. The rooms were clean, spacious, and simple. The front property was very beautiful plants and trees. The host was very kind and responsive. We were also given a decent amount of water for us to drink. There were some good restaurants in the area or walk to 711 (about 15min) where there's some good food choices at the evening market. The start of the driveway for Crazy Horse is also about 15 min walk. All in all good!

Really beautiful property and the hosts are very nice and kind. I liked my room a lot -- good size and comfortable. I have stayed here multiple times over the years. Hot springs very close-by. Food and beverages close too.

We had a wonderful stay at LaLa's House. The guest house is on the second floor/roof of the main house with a lovely large patio, table/seating area, and a picturesque view of the mountains. The guest house is spotless and cozy with many small touches to make it feel homey (e.g., decorations and cushions, coffee/tea, shampoo/conditioner/soap). The kitchen in the main house was available, with a microwave, stove, and dishes. The location was in a small village on a street just off the main road. We were attending an event at the nearby Alpine Golf Resort, a 15-minute drive away. It was quiet with lovely nature sounds at night and birds singing in the morning. LaLa was amazing, very friendly, and helpful. LaLa spoke excellent English and was highly responsive and helpful during our visit. LaLa gave us many recommendations for sightseeing, sending us pictures and detailed directions - we went to a local market and sightseeing up to a nice village in the mountains. LaLa brought us fresh corn and watermelon to eat with our dinner.

Very nice, clean place. Large rooms and even a seating area where I got some laptop work done. 7/11 a two minute walk away. Two water bottles provided daily. Lovely couple that owns the place.

Unique place.

Unique place. Ideal for a weekend break from downtown Chiang Mai. Room was a bit small but very comfortable. Great view from balcony. Very good restaurant plus bar. Beer and Wine readily available. We will be back.
