The stay, the room, the food and the staff behaviour, it was immaculate.
Chill Out Bar and Bungalows features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Tonsai Beach.
Good feel - very welcoming. 25 mins walk to nearby Raiway West beach if you want more action. Has bar and adjoining restaurant, with plenty of other bars and restaurants nearby.
Resort located on Tonsai beach and only accessible by boat. It is just a 10-minute walk from the Ton Sai Bay Pier.
The staff are just amazing! It was a great stay! You can also walk to Railay Beach! It's very quiet and full of nature! The best!
Surrounded by greenery and cliffs, Tonsai Bay Resort is a 2-minute walk from Tonsai Beach and offers villas with private balconies. It features a diving center, beachfront restaurant and bar.
love the location, close to the beach but our villa was right next to the jungle. the staff was amazing! they even brought us to the pier after we checked out so we didn’t have to walk. my husband also loved all the shelving unit and the closet! the last place we stayed at didn’t have any of that.
Garden View Resort Tonsai is located in Tonsai Beach, a 5-minute walk from Tonsai Beach and 600 yards from Pai Plong Beach.
Loved our stay here. We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was very spacious. It wasn’t too warm in the room with it being amongst the trees. It was nice to have a balcony to dry some wet clothes on. They provided complimentary water bottles each day and the option to fill your own water bottle in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and were able to answer all the questions we had. Because Tonsai is not connected to the government electrical grid, this area is powered by generators. So there is not power here between 10 am and 5 pm. Not really an issue if you plan things accordingly. The water pressure is also low in the mornings.
Featuring a garden, Garden View Resort Tonsai is located in Tonsai Beach in the Krabi Province region, a 5-minute walk from Tonsai Beach and 600 yards from Pai Plong Beach.
The rooms and facilities are kept very clean - the staff were cleaning the hall, washrooms, and shower room twice daily. Accommodations are very basic, but for a private room and on a traveler's budget it is everything that you need.
I love this area of Thailand. Having stayed at Railay Beach 3 times previously I was unsure about trying Tonsai Beach but I'm so pleased we did. Would definitely choose Tonsai and Tinidee Resort in future.
I enjoy the peace and quiet and the garden/jungle setting of the resort. I think the only drawback is for senior or less agile visitors in that access is only by long tail boat but if you landed on the 6th of June 1944 in Normandy then you've done it all before at this time nobody is shooting at you. I think most people enjoy the boat rides but be prepared to get wet.
Great for a little day visit but wouldn’t recommend to stay here. Unless you are climbing or want a happy shake then there isn’t much else to do and the area is very basic and not developed enough to cope with the amount of tourists.
The swimming pool was good and cabins as well, the staff was lovely. Insects everywhere during night time but that is usual in the jungle, so just make sure you have your repellent with you. The location is magic, just near to the resort there are a couple of bars where you can chill out with good music in a good environment, there are also flame jugglers. The beach is amazing with a really good view of Railay but quieter than this, there is a path which connects both beaches. Really good place fro climbers too.
Tonsai beach might not be the prettiest in Railay but it’s still my favourite. It’s just so friendly with the best vibe. Loved sitting on the beach, watching the sunset, the evening climbers and the base jumpers.
The kayak trip around the rocks between Railay east and Pranang beach is an absolute must. The caves, the tunnels, the colours of the rocks.... Snorkeling at Ko Poda and Ko Rok is great, so many fish and corals and things to see. The Diamond Cave at Railay was impressive! Who would have expected „curtains“ and „organ pipes“ and „basins“ within these rocks? Walking the jungle trail from Tonsai to Railay is not difficult but such an adventure! The Sunsets from Tonsai are sooo romantic <3 Pranang Beach is probably the nicest beach. Treat yourself with a massage - the aromatic oil after a long journey or a rough ride in the speed boat - with Aloe Vera after a hot day in the sun and for light sunburns - a foot massage after a long walk or while waiting for your transfer to the airport...
