Beautiful, peaceful location! We very much enjoyed watching the monkeys playing in the treetops right outside our room. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Maybe the best location in the Railay Peninsula, definitely the best in Tonsai Bay. The premises are well kept and nicely gardened, the staff are exceeding in friendliness and service. They communicate well and organize transport, the hotel restaurant has the best beachfront setting and the food, while marginally more expensive than the options hidden further back, is well presented and good after a day of climbing. Breakfast buffet is very good value, especially if you are a climber. The room at the main resort is excellent value. Contrary to reports, we had electricity all day almost every day in two separate one week stays in November. Amazing for a cooling afternoon nap when the conditions are too hot to climb anymore. We were warned that electricity would be down between 3-5pm, but I only noticed this 3 times in 14 days, so I think Tonsai Bay is running its own electricity generation. We received drinking water every day, the beds were made and room cleaned daily, and fresh towels were always available. Scented liquid soap and shampoo is provided. The room itself is simple, discrete and clean. The double mattress is firm and seemed quite new, and the sheets were smooth high grade cotton. The bathroom has an electric shower for hot water, a nice looking sink, new toilet and its own ventilation. I’ve stayed all over Railay and for the price, this set up is great value and very comfortable. Lastly, if you are a climber, at the doorstep of the resort is the Rock Shop whose owner writes the Thailand guide for rock climbing. He currently has the most comprehensive gear rental on the peninsular, and definitely the best local knowledge on routes which he is happy to share. There is a shop adjacent where you can buy large 6L bottles of water and do laundry. The popular climber’s bar under the Tonsai Roof is a short walk around the corner and thankfully out of ear shot, so sleeping at Tonsai Bay Resort was always deep and quiet.

Booking seriously overcharges for this hotel. The hotel had lots of availability for other nights. Booking falsely claimed that they wete” sold out.” This caused travel difficulties. Avoid booking.

Came to Anana for our honeymoon. We had a great time staying there. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The free shuttle to the beach is awesome, we also loved the swim up bar at happy hour. Had the massaman curry twice from room service because it was so yum. Massages were great also. Would love to come back sometime soon!

The bungalow was cozy, clean, and perfectly nestled amidst the tranquility of nature. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious—every dish was prepared with care and bursting with flavor. Beyond the amazing accommodation and dining experience, Mark and Tee went above and beyond to help us arrange trips to the stunning islands around Ao Nang. Their local knowledge and willingness to assist made our exploration so much smoother and more enjoyable. What truly made our stay unforgettable was their warm hospitality. They welcomed us into their New Year’s Eve celebration like we were part of their family, creating memories we’ll cherish forever. We even explored some breathtaking spots together, which made our trip even more special.

The location away from the loud main street yet very close to it. It was always a pleasure to come back to the hotel. The swimming pool is great and with a unique backdrop: the cliff! The hotel is good enough - nothing to complain really apart...

The hotel is good enough - nothing to complain really apart from the fact that it feels old and for what you pay I expect a better bed a better bathroom etc - also Tonsai beach is mainly for climbers as the beach is not so beautiful - if you want beautiful beaches then go to some islands - if you want to climb then Tonsai is perfect for you

I love this area of Thailand.

I love this area of Thailand. Having stayed at Railay Beach 3 times previously I was unsure about trying Tonsai Beach but I'm so pleased we did. Would definitely choose Tonsai and Tinidee Resort in future.

I enjoy the peace and quiet and the garden/jungle setting of...

I enjoy the peace and quiet and the garden/jungle setting of the resort. I think the only drawback is for senior or less agile visitors in that access is only by long tail boat but if you landed on the 6th of June 1944 in Normandy then you've done it all before at this time nobody is shooting at you. I think most people enjoy the boat rides but be prepared to get wet.
