Only came to visit Anitkabir so wuld need another day here. Feels good- lots of men in suits - honestly everywhere. Lots of security , guvenlik ( supposedly helpers) very odd. Lots of men coming out of cars and buildings- very strange.

There are some interesting historical areas and museums...
There are some interesting historical areas and museums around the citadel and some newer buildings such as the Opera House. However the city is very large, sprawling and modern with many tower blocks built in the last 20 or so years replacing some shanty towns especially on the way to the airport so choose your location to stay carefully on a map of the city!

Liked the Ankara citadel and the Ankara archaeological...
Liked the Ankara citadel and the Ankara archaeological museum, which are side by side. Atnikabir is a good place to visit if you are going to Ankara. It's a huge mausoleum with pomp, change of guard and all that,, but not much to learn there.

Ankara is not the most beautiful city of Türkiye, but I kind of like it. Good vibe, good bars, good restaurant. Very nice city to work, an okay city to go around. Only the Airport is shit, so go by (highspeed) train from Istanbul. 4h from centre to centre. much better than the bathroom airport and endless traffic jam.

I enjoyed Ankara.
I enjoyed Ankara. The people were friendly and the location is not over crowded or difficult to get around. Even though Ankara is rich in history, I did not find many local tours for historical sites.

It’s in a great location - super close to the bus stop when coming from the airport. [Not so good for getting back]. From the hotel it’s a 15 minute walk to the fabulous Museum of Anatolian Civilisations and the Kale. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, although it wasn’t quite warm enough so we took a cover off the extra bed. There’s a very nice and convenient kebab place opposite.

The room was quite spacious and comfortable with a luxury bathroom. The pool area is well kept with a big undercover pool. Overall, I liked the feel of the hotel. It is in good part of Ankara, practically in the city centre, but away from the noise that comes with the hustle and bustle of the shopping and entertainment district.

Staff were helpful and good in the restaurant both at breakfast and other times was great. Facilities were clean. Very comfortable stay and close to metro connecting to the bus station. Hotel shuttle to the airport was great.
