The property owner was very approachable we kept in contact often and even agreed to extend my stay. Room was very clean and enough for 2 people. We don’t like to drink alcohol or party but we we weren’t disturbed by the music from bar street we could barely hear it so this was a bonus.

Max Mirage is a new hotel in Selimiye, situated in a great location- you are literally a few steps away from the sea front. The staff were exceptional and very helpful all throughout our stay. Car park was available which made it very convenient as it’s hard to find parking in Selimiye. Great place to stay, would definitely stay here going forward.

I’m glad that after yachting we chose Ada boutique hotel to spend a few days before departure. The hotel is located five minutes from the sea, on the shore there are sun loungers at restaurants or a little further away you can choose a quiet place. The hotel welcomes you extremely hospitably and responds to any request. I liked the design, everything was thought out and looks beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable, there is air conditioning and all the necessary things for your stay. If I come to Marmaris, I will return to the hotel with pleasure.

Clean, friendly, efficient.

Clean, friendly, efficient. Eating out is a little expensive compared to what I usually pay in London. My local turkish restaurant in West Ken charges 15GBP for a plate. In Marmaris on the waterfront expect to pay 25GBP for the same dish. Turkish economy is struggling with 30% annual inflation rate (july 2026).

The beaches are lovely.

The beaches are lovely. I love the value and variety of the many beach clubs. The prices are good and excursions were fun and affordable. Marina is beautiful. It’s somewhat of a party town, but also family friendly.

Whether you're brit or not, if you want to spend your...

Whether you're brit or not, if you want to spend your holidays surrounded by them then by all means choose Marmaris, and enjoy your dinners in restaurants with too much noise and prices in GBP. The bay of Marmaris is beautiful, and the water is crystal clear, but there are much better places nearby to enjoy it that are not jam-packed with hotels and stores selling cheap T-shirts or women's bags. The mountain terrain around also means that if you want to get anywhere around you'll spend at least 30 minutes going up and down into the main road connecting other interesting places nearby. Take a good look into places like Akyaka or Dalyan for a much better experience of Turkey.

I AM NOT AN AUTHORITY ON MARMARIS itself, but it is an important terminal from which to leave on onward travel. The small Otogar has the airport busses, as well as a fleet of minibus transport running at regular intervals to The beaches like Palamutbuku, Datca, Hayitbuku. Bozburun and Selimiye, and more. There are a few restaurants as well to fill the hunger gap before your bus leaves. It even has a toilet for a pricey 30 TL.

If you want beaches, boat trips, holiday crowds, hot and sunny weather, then Marmaris is a good choice. If, like us, you do not want those things, its a great place to have one night before and/or taking the ferry to/from Rhodes. Out of season, when we went, it is pleasant and friendly, although we were ripped off by taxis on two out of four occasions (and we speak reasonable Turkish). A destination for cruise ships in high season. The small castle houses a small but very good and important museum with Archaic and Hellenistic pieces. Only needs one hour to visit.

Marmaris is very touristy with high UK, EU tourist prices (i.e., very expensive for Australians). There are a lot of British restaurants. The beaches are not very nice (dirt, not sand). There are also a lot of touts offering an endless array of expensive tours. Prices are offered in GBP and Euro which does not help Australians (who can only pay in Turkish Lira). The town itself is quite interesting to visit for a few days. Walking along the esplanade is relaxing. Driving in and out of Marmaris is beautiful, offering spectacular views from the mountains.

The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel apartment was convenient for a family of 4 and the kids enjoyed the pool. The place is very clean, cozy and well maintained. Location is perfect and safe, near everything... beach, nightlife, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Icmeler beach is nicer than that of Marmaris and you can take all the same tours. If you'r looking for a budget friendly place to stay as a couple or family, Ustun Apart is ideal.

Very nice hotel. THE VIEW is incredible. We got the all inclusive package and had plenty of beers, tea, coffee and juice as well as enjoyed the foods from the buffet. The all inclusive includes all local drinks (beer, wine, vodka, raki, gin, tea, coffee, juice). The food was very tasty. Not a massive selection but sufficient to always have a good meal anyway. The private beach and loungers with umbrellas were also really great. We took our own beach towels with us.

We had a lovely holiday at EW Marmaris, a modern hotel with stylish furniture, a stunning view of the sea, helpful and kind staff, and delicious cuisine every day. It's an idyllic spot perfect for adults looking to unwind - soothing music, a tranquil atmosphere, and helpful staff (especially Sahan at reception and the small girl and both Ali and Ali at the restaurant). Every detail was well organized. Thank you, all.

I was in the Emre Beach side (Emre Hotel is across the road, but all the main facilities/restaurant is in the Emre Beach side). Was on the top floor overlooking the bar and the sea which was lovely during sunset but did have it downside (see negatives). The food selection was brilliant and drinks nice on all inclusive. Always enough space for a sunbed either on the beach or round the pools.
