Amazing staff! They’re the kindest people I’ve ever met! It’s located on really nice beach. I would say it’s the best part of the beach. If you walk few meters on the left, there’s plenty of starfish. Really delicious food in the restaurant. Breakfast was also good, not the same every day and lot of choices. Wouldn’t find any better place. :) We stayed all day after check out before leaving and they let us take a shower in the lobby, provided towels and also beach towels.

we loved the hotel and Kendwa area so much that we decided to extend our stay from 3 to 5 days. The place is squeaky clean and very well maintained. During our visit, the hotel was under going renovations and expansion so something to look forward to! we stayed in the bungalows (deluxe rooms) and they were lovely: spacious, comfortable with a picturesque view from its balcony. Sitting in the balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee was a blessing. The staff are helpful and friendly especially the room service and pool/ beach teams. Also, I am beyond appreciative for the reception team. The reception works around the hour. They are ready to help and support with any matter to ensure guests comfort. To count some of the things that the reception team went out of their way to help with are: - helping us activate and recharge Zanzibari SIM card at 2 am. - Rearranging twin bed rooms to be king bed rooms in order to accommodate our request to change our rooms away from the construction area. - Rearranging their booked rooms to allow us to complete our stay in the same rooms after we extended our stay on very short notice. - Helping us get taxis at better rates than anywhere else. - helping us exchange currency at better rates than anywhere around. I loved the baked goods range at breakfast and the daily fresh brewed coffee. The newly added pool is refreshing and perfect for swimming laps. I used the pool every time there was high waves at the beach! I loved the beach front area because it had many different seating spaces (sofas under shade, tables and chairs, sun beds, hammocks, benches, swings) so it was not like most hotels just sun beds stuffed next to each other.

Everything was great, food is very delicious and tasty, spa is excellent, beach is private (shared with Kendwa rock hotel) and very clean, 2 min walk from the hotel. The internet is going to tell you Kendwa has the most beautiful beach in Zanzibar....it has not....not at all....yes, the beach is nice and wide and white.....but there is no vegetation at all, it's full of sunbeds and umbrellas from the resorts/hotels....way to many traders and not much to offer than going up and down, only to then retreat to your hotel or some place with shade....if you come here for drinks or a party, fine, but don't waste all of your vacation here, when there are many other cheaper and more beautiful places on the island...

Kendwa beach in its self is one of the best I have been too and I have been a regular beach traveller worldwide for the last 40 years. The only advice I would suggest would be to vet the hotel thoroughly as sunseabar was not upto standard it advertised. Go out into local restaurants we tried 4 different ones all were superb so far superior to the hotel

Serene grounds, welcoming staff and very courteous to clientele. Food was good (seafood) and the rooms are superb ( got an ocean view facing the tennis court. Need more African entertainment for guests at night though!

Clean, small and quiet guest house right on the beach! They welcome you with a delicious fresh tropical juice! It is nice to see local people and fishermen living just next door. In the other hand thou, the front sea is full of boats that make swimming a bit complicated. The staff is very kind. Rooms are sober but clean and furnitures are nicely wooden. Breakfast is in range(no buffet, no choice) but good. Very much recommended place. I would definitely return there.AriannaItaly - 10

Kendwa is the perfect beach holiday. This is the only area bot effected by tides. The beach is wonderful and offers great places to eat. Kendwa rocks offers a great BBQ with live entertainment on Saturdays.

JAMBO! Surprisingly, Zanzibar has the whole carpe dime vibe, emanated even from their everyday motto “Hakuna Matata!” (which I though was only something in Lion King) 👏 - The staff is very friendly, and the place is quiet and rejuvenating. Of course there is an issue with insects and lizards (as this is a tropical island), but the staff was accommodating whenever they were requested to take out the lizards/insects. - The view of the beach and sunset from the open reception area, and from the room, is exquisite and tranquil 🏝️🏖️ - The bed is huge ! And comfortable 👌 - The amenities were clean. - It does require some fixer-upper and more modern technology (but as far as hotels go in Zanzibar it is one of the most modern ones). - the walk from the reception area to the room is quite long, but consider it a time to just breath and relax, and you’re all set 👌 - There’s a lack of network signal for the phone, but at least the hotel has free Wi-Fi that is connectable throughout the property. - The location is quite far from the airport (1-1.25 hours from the airport) as the hotel is in the northern part of the island. - The all inclusive food menu has a delicious variety of foods. The dinner menu changes every day. They do a free BBQ dinner on their beach (upon request). Definitely worth it ! - Their spa is HIGHLY recommended !! - Their yoga/meditation session is also recommended!! (Thank you, Tarnah!) - During our checkout day, a request for a late checkout as the flight as at night, and the hotel was very accommodating by allowing open-time checkout! (Thank you, Kilindi staff, for that 🙏)

You have got to love the place.. They have upgraded my room to beach side., Nevertheless the staff and I mean everyone; are extremely helpful and smiling all the time they made us feel happy, also Ahmed and Kareem the owner they made us feel like home with their hospitality, room were above my expectations comparing to what I have paid, room had everything AC and fan amenities and the restaurant of the hotel had amazing food with affordable prices we hardly ate outside, thank for the great stay, can't wait to come back!!

This is a budget 2/3 star hotel so just keep your expectations real. For the reasonable price you get access to the awesome beach, where low tide is not an issue unlike in other parts of the island, full sea view (choose high floor) and spacious room. We stayed with a family of four in 2 interconnected rooms with a fridge and kettle. Modern bathroom, hot water and AC. They have their own generator so you still have electricity and water during shut downs. Great hospitality - thank you Alexey!

The food was excellent, the service was the same, the beach was gorgeous, the weather was perfect. The resort is located at the tip of Zanzibar on the white sand beaches. There are less people here and the beach huts are spaciously apart - the neighboring resorts are crowded in comparison. The property is beautiful and the entertainment is good fun. We came here for peace and quiet after a long safari and time in Stonetown and the Zanzibar Gold delivered!

The beach was nice, but a little bit dirty. The sea is near from the hotel and you can swim there during all day, so it’s perfect. It’s not normal on Zanzibar. this is a huge advantage. The breakfast and dinner are on the beach. About 60 meters from the hotel. Swimming pool is also on the beach.
