The staff were very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond. I was asked what I wanted for breakfast and had this delivered to my room in the morning. The hotel's taxi driver, Martin, was very helpful and made sure I was at the right bus terminal for my ongoing journey. The room was cool and comfortable, with a clean bathroom, plenty of complementary toiletries, and a mini fridge. Although I didn't use the pool, it did look very nice.

We were very impressed by Hotel Amaranth. The hotel is very close to the Mbezi bus station which was extremely convenient for our journey to the Usambara Mountains. The hotel kindly reserved our bus tickets for us, provided a free bus transfer to the station and prepared us all a packed breakfast to take with us, even though our bus was at 5:30am! The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the on-site restaurant was lovely.

The property needed some love and care, in terms of interior, however despite the age of the hotel, it was clean, calming and safe. The staff were so professional and friendly. I had a short stay but kept coming to have lunch with my children. Our room was quadruple triple room, very spacious for the time that we needed. The food was great! The bed was so comfortable and clean. House cleaning came everyday to clean. I speak Swahili which made things a lot easier. I would recommend trying learn a few words to have a better communication with the staff. You must call 1 hour in advance for order food as everything is made fresh! We hardly got bitten by mosquitoes because the place was well secure. Every time I needed help the staff were attentive and made my stay very comfortable.

Extraordinary host and a lot of facilities for the price. Everything is top notch standard. I have arrived very late in the evening ( morning) and the host was very helpful at any hour of the day. You have all that You need, everything! Shops nearby, gorgeous yard surrounding the house, amazing terraces and everything you could need to feel yourself at home. I actually never felt that I am in an airbnb, not even one second.
