Absolutely wonderful location and place. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we immediately felt at home. Even though we were too early, Emmanuel stored our luggage until the room was available. We were invited to enjoy a drink by the pool or at the restaurant until our room was ready. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our bags were taken to the room. The room was cool from the air conditioning. The location of the suite is in front of the beach. The most beautiful sunrise in the morning with coffee. You wake up with the sea in front of you. The tame camels, donkeys, sheep, goats, turkeys and cat were so cute to us. The room is very spacious, and the bed is extra wide and comfortable. Every night, they came to spray our room for mosquitoes (although there are mosquito nets) with a special note and cookies. We enjoyed the armchairs right on the balcony every night while we looked at the sea with sundowners. We felt very safe, and the nature and gardens were very beautiful. The humor on the notice boards, books and notes is really cute and unique. The food was plentiful and very tasty. In the evening, the gardens are transformed with different colored lights. From the very first moment, we felt truly cared for. Traveling with our 3-month-old baby and our teenager, we were a bit anxious, but the entire team understood our needs perfectly and went above and beyond to make us feel completely at home. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, spotless, and so well maintained. Everywhere you look, you can see the attention to detail. The beach right in front of the resort is, in our opinion, one of the best in this part of the city: clean, calm, and perfect for families. What really made our stay exceptional, though, was the people. Every single member of staff we met was polite, warm, and genuinely smiling, which created such a welcoming atmosphere. A very special thanks goes to Sitty, the General Manager — not only a wonderful professional but also a truly kind human being. She made sure every detail was perfect for us and our baby, and her personal touch made us feel less like guests and more like family. We left Manolo Beach Resort with hearts full of gratitude and memories we will cherish forever. Without a doubt, this is a place we will be recommending to everyone we know. 💙

We saved the best for last. After traveling around in Tanzania and Zanzibar we wanted a place where we can relax to end our amazing bucket list trip and this beautiful boutique hotel was exactly what we needed. OMG, simply paradise. The location is amazing. We booked the bungalow at the beach and I couldn’t be any happier. It was everything I had hoped for and more. The staff is fantastic! So friendly, so helpful. We received a complimentary massage and it was bliss! If you want rest and relaxation in an idyllic setting with palm trees and a beautiful beach with white sands and people who will make your stay an unforgettable one, then book this place! The WiFi is fast, the shower warm, the service amazing, and the location is PARADISE! Thank you guys for making our short stay a memorable one! What a great way to end this bucket list trip! I really enjoyed my stay at Avo Hotel. The place has a cozy, charming feel, and the owners and staff are very kind and friendly. They make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. everything was amazing, truly we had the best time. The security was there so we felt safe. Try not to get influenced by the negative reviews, I am so glad we didn't because everything was up to an incredible standard. We loved Coco such a cute addition but we are also big animal lovers. Good food, good breakfast options, clean beach with cool restaurants around. The masais were not intrusive, mainly just friendly guys. So happy we chose Karibu. The room with beach view was out of this world.

You need to be in a resort to enjoy the stay, in my opinion.

You need to be in a resort to enjoy the stay, in my opinion. The area outside is very dirty, busy, and not very pretty. The water is not pretty at all and the water is dirty. You need to go further North (like Nungwi) for the blue water.

The resort was clean and had the island atmosphere.

The resort was clean and had the island atmosphere. Food was good and a variety to choose wwwith different restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a reminnder that you will pay extra at the airport for insurance fees and also extra tax fees at the hotel if its not included in your original price.

This area has less tourism than some other areas in Zanzi...

This area has less tourism than some other areas in Zanzi bar, it has what you need, different restaurangs, a super market, beachbar and so on. There is not so many other tourists here so you feel like its really a part of an small island. If you are looking for highend dining and alot of shopping then i advise you to look for another area or do as we did - get a car or a taxi its ok priced for a full day. The traffic was really suprising - its was better then most so called modern countries - slow, keeping distance -respecting each other - we rented a car for 3 days and it was super nice. We payed 30usd/day + 10usd for the local driving license - dont drive to fast or drunk - the police are really on there toes - and mind the big roadbumps... We ate a lot of lobster and fish - always fresh - never dissapointed, we also ate alot of vegetarian food - its everywere great dishes.

The location was excellent.

The location was excellent. The vegetation was very nice, and the seating places were very comfortable. Following my unfavourable interaction with cats, we were upgraded to a bigger room with an ocean view since I have ailurophobia (cat phobia). Thanks to the hotel owners for such a gesture. We had an issue with our bank card, and they also gave us more time during our stay to sort this out. Disliked · Being an Ailurophobia (Cats phobic), I did not enjoy the outdoor space because several cats roamed everywhere, including the restaurant, balconies and stairs. This has nothing to do with the owners but my personal condition. I advise those with similar conditions to avoid this place. Areas of improvement include breakfast - more food diversity and a balanced diet are needed. The beds in the rooms need to be fixed to avoid noise. Bathrooms need upgrading.

Spice market was very interesting to learn and see how the herbs and spices we use on a daily basis is grown and cultivated. Stone Town has a lot of history and a spice shoppers paradise. Prison Island wasn’t bad, expected more but the turtles made it worth the visit.

Very small quiet village on the east coast of Zanzibar, perfect for a relaxing romantic vacation. If some action is needed you can go to the nearby Kiwendwa, only 20 20-minute drive, or to the bigger more touristy areas in the north up to an hour drive. But to enjoy the island in full Uroa is one of the best places. And the best food! (we have tried in 5 different villages across Zanzibar!

The overall experience was amazing, the Hotel was located in a serene place with a private beach front. Staff were all amazingly good who were always ready to help and assist with all the needs. The owners as well were cooperative and always happy to assist with anything. In general our stay was super comfortable, break was good and generously served, pool was beautiful and was 24hrs open, friendly dogs as well who always wanted to give company. Definitely a place anyone should choose when going to Uroa.💯💯💯💯💥💥💥

The hotel and the facilities were in great condition that created a high quality atmosphere Really nice pools with plenty of cover and shade, and you are never too far from one of the bars Staff were normally very helpful, but a few quirky moments but this is Africa, but generally they were happy and helpful. Food in the 3 restaurants was good, we were there 6 nights, might have got bored is we had been there longer !

The location is fabulous, with a beautiful beach which is still good to swim in, unlike many locations in Zanzibar which are too shallow. The hotel is spacious, more ‘classic’/traditional in style with nice gardens, unlike some other more modern hotels which are cramped, with little ‘green space’. We were in the Suite right on the beach and it was incredible.
