This is where I grew up. No longer looks or seems the same. Favorite places either have moved or gone completely. Some areas have improved, but a great deal have lost the charm of the past. The relocated SPAM Museum was better than before through and worth the visit.

austin is not small and not too big of a city.
austin is not small and not too big of a city. Downtown has beautiful old building a lot of history. I think it's nice to walk downtown and see how about all the business places actually have a business and not just another empty building. It's so great to see a community work so good together and be so supportive not only for austin but all the small farm communities are included too. This part of Southern Minnesota is a beautiful place to live or just visit.lindzey93
