Our favorite distillery tours.

Our favorite distillery tours. Bards town barrel thieving was a treat! Got a frozen mixed drink after. Not as crowded as downtown areas. Safe, clean and fun to walk around. Bernheim arboretum was close. They had some pretty cool trails, art work and featured neat trolls! Stayed at the Talbott Inn. Great food and live music!

Bardstown had nothing to offer but the train dinner.

Bardstown had nothing to offer but the train dinner. Distill Inn odor was really overpowering when you walk in, never got much better. It smelled a perfume counter! Our beds were hard and uncomfortable. The room was not all that clean, bathroom had used soap & dirty floor and door. And the bar, well that is a huge joke! $15.00 a shot for stuff that we never even heard of! Ridiculous prices! You won't be seeing us again and we certainly won't advise anyone else to stay there. The Monastary at Gethsemani was delightful, nice gift shop so sad the Brother's no longer make cheese. St Joseph's Cathedral was beautiful and the dinner at the RickHouse was outstanding!!! We toured my Old Kentucky Home and had a fantastic guide. Wish we could have gone to the outdoor drama The Stephen Foster Story but was not on that Tuesday night. We toured Maker's Mark for an "Out of this world' experience, Heaven Hill was likewise great and finished on Wed. at Four Rose's Distillary. Wanted to go see the Bourbon barrels being made but did not have any tours on Tues. Bardstown is the Prettiest small town in the USA and I would add the Friendliest.

We added Bardstown to our stop due to it being considered one of the towns in the top 20 small towns. It was mostly bars in our opinion. It does not rate in our top 20 for sure. There were some points of interest such as the civil war museum. All in all, Bardstown was a one and done for us.

The town is 100% walkable with ample parking. The shops are adorable and prices seemed fair. Downtown dining was great. Easy to spend the day downtown. Lastly, the tour of the Jim Beam Distillery is a must do activity when visiting Bardstown.

Simple but great. Warm dish taste good and Coffee was great in the morning. Bourbon bar is amazing and history of that building is unbelievable. I'm 100% sure that next time I travel to Kentucky and Bardstown area, I stay in Tallbot Tavern Inn.

The room was so nice - all tiled walk-in shower and very comfortable and clean. The pool was exceptional, and breakfast so tasty and quick. It was a short taxi into Bardstown. I'd definitely return if in the area again.
