Located in Burnet, within a 8-minute walk of Garret Island and 3.2 miles of Aero-Bee Ranch Airstrip, Painted Sky Inn has accommodations with barbecue facilities and free WiFi as well as free private... The location by Lake Buchanan was just stunning, plenty of wildlife and fantastic sunsets. Room was comfortable and had all the amenities I required. Everything was set-up, I didn't interact with any of the staff on-site, my high score is indicative of me not needing to interact with any of the staff. Everything was easy and worked nicely.
Burnet is an older community but provides the ability to unplug and sit watch your favorite dvd and cook a good home cooked meal. Love Burnet and its landscape and atmosphere. We have family here so there is always a way of finding the perfect spot which this is absolutely my favorite so far. Can't wait to stay again.
Very small town feel & went to the Vanishing River Cruise. Beautiful country and enjoyed eating at Mama's Cafe. Surprisingly a family was there playing music together and we really enjoyed that. We had other sightseeing to go do, so we didn't stay along time.
Burnet is a friendly, small town that is conveniently located to state parks, lakes and other Texas hill country attractions. The people of Burnet were friendly and helpful whenever we asked for recommendations. A problem arose wth our car and we were able to get it diagnosed and repaired in a short period of time at a very reasonable price. We ate at Mama's Cafe and highly recommend the chicken tender dinner. They also offer daily specials on the chalkboards. The service was good as were the prices. We enjoyed a virtual tour of the historic square and a romantic walk along Hamilton Creek park at dusk. Not far from 35W, and on state highways 29 and 281, it was very easy to get to and around Burnet. Our only regret was that we were not visiting at a time when the the historic Ft. Croghan Museum was open. They do have events in October and December, so we have hope! I recommend Burnet, TX as a vecation or weekend get-away destination.
This place has a good location. It us easy to get to, and close to three good places to eat. Try the nearby Crazy Girls Cafe. Other than the great location, and friend manager, There is NOTHING else going for it. Many better hotels in town
I chose to stay in Burnet because it was close to the places we wanted to see. The town itself is small and doesn’t offer much. It is close to Inks Lake State Park, Longhorn Cavern State Park and Vanishing River Cruise which we all enjoyed.
We loved our time at Painted Sky. We were looking for just a nice quiet get away and a place to do some fishing. Painted Sky did not disappoint! It is like a little piece of Heaven in Burnet County. We will definitely be back. The cabins were stocked with everything we needed, and the property is very well maintained.
The stay was perfect; cleanliness is the most important factor when I choose a hotel and Comfort Inn & Suites didn't disappoint. The room was fantastic; I'll definitely choose this location again should I return to Burnet. Two thumbs up!
