Carrizozo is a small community.

Carrizozo is a small community. Our stay was for travelling back home to Canada. The people we meet were very polite and courteous. the motel while being nothing to look at from the outside our rooms we booked were very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

I really like stopping in Carrizozo.

I really like stopping in Carrizozo. It's in a pretty location. The desert and mountains around Carrizozo make the trip to and from there go faster. The town itself has multiple motels/inns to stay in and most, if not all, are dog friendly. There are a couple of gas stations and restaurants that I always get gas/food at. I really like this little town.

Wonderful Mom and Pop Inn.

Wonderful Mom and Pop Inn. Right at the intersect of the highway so it's very easy to find. Our room had been updated. The updated bathroom was very nice with new tile and a rain shower water head. King bed was very comfortable. Big refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Bonus was the USB power port by the bed, very convenient.

There’s always that smell when you come into a hotel room. Old cigarette smoke, musty, perfumey cleaners, but this time it was the smell of bleach, not overwhelming, but bleach. Now to me, if I have to have a smell in a hotel room a little bit of bleach is a good smell so for me actually that was the best thing about staying at The Four Winds, because I knew that whatever they did clean with it was cleaned well.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and had all amenities that I am looking for in a hotel room. I particularly liked the relatively large table that allowed me to set up my laptop and charge the plethora of electronic devices that accompany modern-day road warriors. I would gladly stay at this motel again.

Accommodations were made and shared with guests to view the solar eclipse. Carrizozo has a great little business district with much character, and a personable mayor who was also very accommodating.
