We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. We couldn’t fault anything - excellent staff, immaculately clean, great choices for breakfast that was provided, great location - close Frenchman Street with plenty of jazz bars. The free washing machine and dryer were an extra bonus for us. Don’t be put off by any comments about homeless people because you will see them regardless of where you stay in or around the French Quarter. We found them to harmless. So thankful we cancelled a booking on Canal Street and went with this option. Thanks for a wonderful stay Hampton Inn .

A peaceful retreat in the madness of New Orleans. The room was very well decorated, well equipped (they had thought of everything down too relevant reading materiall) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were both welcoming and helpful.

Our stay at "The Haunted Hotel" during Mardi Gras week was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, the exceptional staff made us feel right at home. Their welcoming and helpful demeanor truly enhanced our experience, and Christina, in particular, stood out as super helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from providing insightful tips for activities and restaurants to being readily available whenever we had a question or request. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. Nestled between the vibrant Bourbon Street and the lively Frenchman Street, it struck the perfect balance, allowing us easy access to the best bars and attractions without being overwhelmed by the crowds. We stayed in room B5 in the lower courtyard, which was not only comfortable but also conveniently located for enjoying the courtyard during the hot weather. The hotel's ambiance perfectly complemented the spirit of New Orleans. Embracing the history of the New Orleans Axeman, the atmosphere was both intriguing and welcoming. Despite being in the midst of Mardi Gras festivities, the street itself remained quiet and safe, providing a peaceful retreat when needed. Our room exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and amenities. The spacious bathroom with twin sinks was a nice touch, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We appreciated the fridge for keeping our drinks cold, the coffee machine for our morning pick-me-up, and the large TV for unwinding after a day of exploring. The highlight for us was the expansive courtyard, which offered a cool respite from the New Orleans heat. It would undoubtedly be the perfect spot for pre-drinks with a larger group. This place is cool. Steps away from Frenchman Street, great location. Worth noting that the room was quiet, surprisingly good sound proofing. There's a common balcony with views of the Mississippi River. The building is built around Courtyards. And garage parking is available and free! You get a real coffee pot, and community coffee. Yea you right.

I grew up in the lower 9th Ward and Arabi so Chalmette is...

I grew up in the lower 9th Ward and Arabi so Chalmette is only one parish over. I'm already quite familiar with Chalmette and have always enjoyed the area. It's looks a lot different since hurricane Katrina but so does lots of cities. I choose to stay in Chalmette every time I return home for a visit. Friendly and laid back people of different races that genuinely like everyone and just get along with one another. Also, you MUST visit Rocky and Carlos restaurant. You'll love it.

The room and staff was amazing but after being charged...

The room and staff was amazing but after being charged something different than I was told wasn’t cool. Hotel over all was great. My only complaint is I got charged totally different price than what I was told. When I checked my account and I asked her why she couldn’t answer. Telling me I must of missed something or wasn’t told something. Got told it would be added to my card and it wasn’t.
