An interesting place, full of history with a wide choice of activities & amenities. A wide choice of restaurants & bars & would highly recommend the popular Poogan's Porch & TBonz.
Beautiful city, would have love to stay longer. we will come back just to see the sights, was there to go on cruise leaving from Charleston. Got hit at home by tornado while gone. Had property damage, fire. Left as soon as we docked.
I was in Charleston on brief business. My first time there and discovered that it’s a beautiful city. I loved viewing the historic areas by carriage. The locations we chose for dinner Henry’s was excellent and the Jazz music an added plus. Don’t miss shopping at the Market and walking around. I wish I was there longer.
Charleston was gorgeous. I didn't expect the architecture and scenery to be so beautiful and walking around downtown was a highlight of the trip. One down side is that the sidewalks are very old, sometimes quite narrow, and many cobblestone/craggy. This can be tough for strollers and wheelchairs. There's not much disability friendly access here. Parking is easy in the garages.
Tons of southern history. Lots of traffic and finding parking was insane...even an empty slot in a parking structure. Friendly people and food available everywhere at slightly higher prices as we expected. Ft. Sumter tour was excellent.
Great city in a beautiful location with lots of history. We took a (very popular) carriage ride through the historical section which was very enjoyable. Great food. If you like seafood I recommend The Crab House. If you like tacos, had excellent choices at Ruru's. The Joe Riley Waterfront Park is lively and has a beautiful tree-lined walk as well as benches overlooking the harbor. We really enjoyed our stay in the Market Pavilion Hotel - all the comforts for a special occasion getaway.
The pool area was very well done for a hotel with this price point. It should be noted that this was a Holiday inn that has been renovated. The renovation is good. Euro style tile flooring in the room we had...a plus over nasty carpet. The color pallet for the hotel was not my favorite, but that is just a personal preference. All in all a good job of updating an older property. Also the location in Mt Pleasent was good. We just left our car at the hotel and ride shared into Charleston. Easier than finding a place to park.
The breakfast was great and the staff that served it was awesome. The location of our hotel was also great! Just off Hwy 26 and minutes to downtown Charleston. After looking for several days it was also the best deal for my budget and there is a hot tub :D This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel in the past 10 years. It has never been a disappointment. It has maintained the same level of convenience, comfort and quality that I can trust. I'll come back.
We were on our anniversary/birthday trip with another family and I booked both rooms under my name. We knew we couldn’t check in until 3:00 so we killed time before we went to the hotel. The location of the hotel was nice, right off the interstate and only about 15 minutes to downtown/historic district. The rooms were spacious and really nice. Several breakfast places were right around the area if you didn’t want the packaged breakfast the hotel served.
This was our first trip to Charleston and the Courtyard Charleston was a great choice for lodging. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. We met Livia T. In the hallway on our first day and she was a delight to talk to. She gave us suggestions on what to see and where to eat. She checked us out on our last day and enrolled us in your rewards program. My sister will be visiting Charleston next month and I will encourage her to stay at your hotel.
This hotel is in a really fantastic location if you want to explore Charleston - we really fell in love with place. We were amazed at how big the rooms were and how well they were furnished. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast was really good. I also liked the fact that there was fruit around during the day for you to help yourself, and sealed packets of biscuits or muffin that you could take from breakfast and eat later.
It was my fiancé and I first time in SC! This Charleston hotel was beautiful and chic with historic charm. In a great location, walking distance to everything downtown. They brought to-go breakfast to your room every morning. They offer free wine and snacks everyday in their solarium with a gorgeous view. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable!
The room was fine, bed comfortable, bathroom clean. And we were right off the highway, but we could not hear the traffic noise when the door was shut - it was well soundproofed. Mount Pleasant is a nice area and close enough to beaches and downtown Charleston. It's not the most beautiful hotel, but the price is right.
Good location, easy to get to the downtown area, as well as to any of the plantations. There are restaurants and shopping nearby. Quiet hotel, reasonably clean. Not a new hotel, but updated and with comfortable beds, plus a decent breakfast being offered. We would stay again if we return to Charleston.
I have stayed at this particular hotel in the past mainly because of the location to the downtown historic area of Charleston. I kinda like the separation of the entry area and then having the bedroom upstairs. The staff has always very friendly and helpful when necessary.
Very good value compared to other hotels with a central location. Room was very quiet and clean. Walking distance to all places of interest in the historic district and many nice places close-by. I would stay here again.
Tesla Destination Charger was the reason we stayed, but the place was ok. Decent room, breakfast available on site and only a few minutes by Uber to downtown Charleston. Laundry available downstairs also really helped.
To hotel's location was very close to downtown Charleston. The breakfast was good considering Covid-19 restrictions and there were several breakfast items to choose from.
Good breakfast, large, comfortable beds, very clean bathroom; hotel location is excellent in terms of distance to the historic district of Charleston, SC.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel was quiet and a short drive to the historic district of Charleston.
Superb new hotel, fantastic facilities, huge bedroom and the best service we've received in ages! Highly recommended.
Room was spacious and quiet. Hotel is a little way from downtown but it's a nice location with places to eat nearby.
I liked the overall vibe at hotel. We were also right down the street from everything downtown.
The location is good. The hotel is close to downtown Charleston, with around 15 minutes drive.
Excellent location, easy to get in and out close to downtown Charleston and Shem Creek area.
Best hotel in Charleston. Ask for John at the reception. best guy ever!
