So much to see and do there that it will take more than one trip up there!! A lot of places to eat and lots of tours one can take. It will just take longer than a week to see and do those things though. It's very beautiful up there. A lot of historical churches up there to tour through also. You can request a catalog from them and it tells you places to dine, things to do and places to go see. It also comes with a map.

    Charleston is a hidden Gem.

Charleston is a hidden Gem. It is hard to say it’s a lovely place when so much of it’s wealth and beauty is attributed to a dark past. However, it is totally not what i expected. Residents obviously take pride in the place they live. Beautiful houses, warm welcoming people and a calm, atmosphere. I loved it and would recommend it 100%

If you are a history buff, Charleston is for you!

If you are a history buff, Charleston is for you! So many fabulous old houses built during the Merchant era and of course, Boone Hall Plantation was amazing. The food is good and we loved the Irish Bar "Something" Tiger. A city of churches, graveyards, ghosts. Loved it! Getting around Charleston is easy if you are a walker. There are 3 free buses that take you to 3 different areas. Enjoyed the Day and Night Market and loved seeing a free puppet show and a fabulous sax player.

Downtown Charleston is the best part of Charleston.

Downtown Charleston is the best part of Charleston. I love the history and architecture. I spend hours walking around the residential streets and alleys admiring the beauty. What I don't like is how expensive the area is. And crowded. If hotel costs were lower in the historic district I could easily spend a week taking in the sights and enjoying the many great restaurants.

Good value for a weekend stay in Charleston where other hotels in the historic district are expensive. The free bus was right outside and as I didn't want to drive this was the perfect option or order an Uber for less that $10 to get to the French quarter etc.

The hotel is really neat, good spacious rooms, nice breakfast and great location a bit north of the main shopping area in Charleston, and very close to restaurants etc. There's also a small nice pool for cooling of during hot days.
