Hospitality at its finest. We were greeted and checked in by Shelly, who shared so much information on what to see and do. We loved that we could walk to everything. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious, and the bed was amazing! I loved the sheets, too. We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace. The staff went out of their way to provide a customer 1st culture.

It's a very cute and rich little rural casino town.
It's a very cute and rich little rural casino town. The buildings are great, the restaurants are nice, there are nice things you can do besides - instead of, actually - gambling. It's very lively in the summer packed with the typical obnoxious and desperate casino crowd. The George S. Mickelson bicycle train starts here, and this part of the trail is gorgeous - which is why we came. There are some other very nice small towns in the area so you can explore multiple days. The absolutely magnificent Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse memorial, and lots of entertainment is within reach from here, although there are more convenient places for visiting them (we stayed in the State Park lodge for most of our visit). Hill City and Custer are nearby cute towns. Lots of hiking and other activities nearby.

Loved it. Little bit of Nashville with SD feel.
Loved it. Little bit of Nashville with SD feel. Steak at the Mineral palace was very good. Restaurant decor upstairs was lacking. Latte's at Pump house. We were there 2 weeks before Sturgis rally. Good motorcycle buzz yet, able to get around and see everything without large crowds.

Deadwood is historic, an iconic city in South Dakota history. You could easily spend an entire week here and stay occupied every single day. During summer season, there is always something new and exciting to do, day or night. I would definitely recommend the Saloon #10, South sure of Main St

I love Deadwood!
I love Deadwood! It feels like stepping back into the Wild West days! I would say it's best for adults. Drinking, gambling, music. There are shootouts (by actors), stagecoach rides, access to a nice drive through Spearfish Canyon.

Just be sure to spend more time there if you should go and be sure to head through Spearfish Canyon also, and stop every chance you get to all the places that catch your eye. Take your Time on travels and enjoy life.

always love going to Deadwood but really enjoy staying at the Mineral Palace when get there. The staff is always friendly and helpful, valet parking is available, and there is a great variety of machines to play on while we are there.
There are several bars available to use and the balcony outside the gem restaurant is wonderful to sit on and watch the traffic and pedestrians go by.
The location was perfect, close to downtown but also secluded enough. The room was very clean and it had that older deadwood feel which we loved. The room we were put in was smaller and not shown in the pics but it was still very nice.
