Decorah is a treasure we uncovered that I never knew about.

Decorah is a treasure we uncovered that I never knew about. Amazing adventure vibe with all of the necessary amenities. The town was fun, had great restaurants and breweries and the people were all friendly.

This town is a nature lovers paradise.

This town is a nature lovers paradise. We arrived late Thursday and left Saturday morning. On Friday, we hiked the Trout Run Trail. It was awesome and the reason for our trip. Although the trail was fun, it didn't go through the other parks Decorah is known for. We would have loved to stay another day or two. The shopping was nice and their downtown area is really cute. I liked the location of our hotel because we were able to jump on the trail, the morning of our hike. Be sure to grab some coffee at their lovely shops and some food downtown.

Probably my favorite Iowa town.

Probably my favorite Iowa town. There is so much to do in the area and we especially love all of the outdoorsy things. This trip was for the Art Tour which is a lot of fun. You tour local artists' studios and can even purchase artsy things.

Decorah is one of the most friendly, clean, neat and just a wonderful place I have ever been to. All of the people were friendly and nice to us. The town itself is just a beautiful place. The downtown area is what you would picture in a travel guide. I would highly recommend a trip to this area of the United States. Luther College is also just a great place and their Music Department is the best!

TROUT RUN TRAIL -- WHAT A DECORAH SCENIC TREASURE! 11 MILES OF FUN FOR BIKING, WALKING, JOGGING. 4. PHELPS PARK - SUPER FAMILY FRIENDLY. 5. DECORAH PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - FANTASTIC FACILITY IN RETRO STYLE.

Literally drove in at night in the dark.

Literally drove in at night in the dark. Loved the hill coming into town with the flag off to the North. Hotel super easy to find, lit up and safe, it was so close to everything I needed. I was there in March would love to come back in the summer and fall to check out all it has to offer. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as I didn’t arrive until very late in the evening. Room had a great bed, updated nice bathroom, loved that it had a frig to put drinks in as well as a microwave.

I loved the style of the "hotel", the area, and the beds and pillows. We were able to jump on the Trout Run Trail from our rooms. I loved the patio area as well. We were able to see plenty of deer walk through. The area was quiet and plenty of parking.
