The Chinese buffet Chow King great buffet was clean, with fresh foods , and nice staff - less than a mile from LaQuinta. The Dove store in the same strip center had lots of merchandise that would appeal to Christians

Parts of Dothan are nice but it's a military town and full of homeless people. Marathon gas station across from the Clarion where I stayed tried to rip off my credit card next day after using it to make a purchase. I think the workers are all petty crimi nals all working together between businesses. Families with children should stay clear of this place.

Dothan has alot to offer.
Dothan has alot to offer. The civic center is nice size venue easy to access. A lot of shopping and places to eat. Enjoy botanical garden and aplin farms in season.will be glad when they are finished with 231 upgrades very confusing right now. More security presence outside civic center in dark areas would be nice and for guidance to correct entranceway. Possibly signage in further out parking areas about no purses. Many folks had to turn around after getting to door and go back to their cars in the less than secure dark areas and parking lots. Love Conestoga steakhouse, blue plate and Jim and Nicks.

A town to pass through on the way to our destination. It was okay but we didn’t see anything to make us want to stay any longer The motel turned us off of the city and next year we will stay on Ozark

I like Dothan Alabama and I have lived there before.
I like Dothan Alabama and I have lived there before. It was nice before and it has grown a lot and it's even better. There's lots to do and places to eat out, shop, movies, and entertainment for the kids. The cost of living is cheaper than Gainesville Florida and I am considering returning after retirement plus I'll be closer to family.

Dothan reminds me of Chattanooga in 1988. Prices were reasonable everywhere. People are kind. at 11pm in town I saw a lot of security, which made me wonder if it wasn't safe - but they keep it good and they dont seems to have issues. Went for a weekend Scottish Highland Games festival to run a tent for the first year. we absolutely loved the place and will add it to the recurring list. Except next time I might stay a week to relax more in town and hit more of those great BBQ, southern food spots that are still high value, good pricing. As a mainly Florida Clan, we might just make Dothan the fall getaway location for some great golfing, pecans, and peanuts. Blue Plate diner yesterday was $16 for BBQ chicken, 2 sides, fresh peach cobbler alamode and great sweet tea with lemon. Had another dinner at D&D near Daleville - that was fantastic and they stopped by the table every 5 minutes to get us what ever we wanted, even from the potato or salad bar without us needing to get up! That is service. and the kindest of all people. I LOVE this town. and the golfing was great - did a few days at the Dothan National and their lighted range was lighted at night to 1-2AM with a full bar and the NEW CALLAWAY smart shot system that records, time, club, swing speed, ball speed, loft height, distance in air, total distance, grouping, analysis, sorting. different tee heights or hit off the lush artificial turf you stand on. I didnt get to the Robert Trent course but those at the range had and said it was in pristine condition. This town is a Mecca of sorts and southern by the Grace of God.

Great location-supermarket, cafes and some restaurants are near by. Really nice breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, pancake machine etc. They have this cute jar with dog treats at the entrance. Coffee maker In the room. Computer and printer at the reception area if you need to print something. Tiny body lotion was a plus!
