We were just there for a weekend overnight so not a lot of...
We were just there for a weekend overnight so not a lot of time to visit, but we do come here a couple of times a year for the last 20 years. Limited hotel accommodations, and very expensive for a small town. Lots of chain and local restaurants, a good variety! Limited shopping for essentials, no Walmart or similar store, so had to purchase needed items from Walgreens which is double the cost of items. A nice recreational area for all ages with bouncy house, water boats, horse back riding, mini-golf, and go carts, we go here every time we come to town - reasonably priced. Nice city park for the kids! Downtown shopping is fun, nice variety and beautiful outdoor space to enjoy the nice weather! It is worth a visit!

Eagle River is a small resort town, but there are all the amenities you could ask for, from fast food restaurants to 5-star fine dining.
It is a safe town for a vacation location. The town is easy to get around in, and the people are friendly. We had dinner at Chef Rena's: great service, Northwoods atmosphere, wonderful food, and large portions. Pricy, but you get what you pay for.

We drove many hours to get there. We went back the next day. It was a lot of driving. We enjoyed the downtown shopping. We tored the cranberry bogs. That was interesting. We had a fabulous meal at Chef Rennese. The breweries were great to see and taste.

We were visiting Bond Falls in Michigan and just needed a place to stay on the way back to central WI. We just got there, had some dinner, drove thru downtown and went back to our motel. We left right after breakfast the next morning.

The house and location were fantastic.
The house and location were fantastic. Equanimity has great lake views and incredibly relaxing interior amenities. The master bedroom and grand shower were luxurious and spacious. The sunroom being open to the kitchen and living room with a wood burning fireplace, were great for time with the family. A large dining table provided ample space for meals, game time or fun projects. This is the vacation home you want to be at.

I heard alot of People comment that they would likely stay...
I heard alot of People comment that they would likely stay and shop longer if there were resting areas sprkled through. The fest should have two music venues at opposite ends of the area. And please pass the word to proprietors and staff that there is no reason to remind visitors when they ask about wait times or reservations, "that it's fest weekend", we know, that's why we're there. The irony is that the much sought after boost to the town and locals brings an onslaugt of visitors who come for the flora, fauna and fest, diminishes the very spirit of the refuge they seek. Feel free to use the flora, fauna and fest part :-)

The hotel is outdated, but that is what makes it so unique! It's like stepping back in time to see this hotel that has been in the Eagle River area for years. The hotel was exceptionally clean and quaint. The bed was very comfortable. Shopping is within walking distance. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but still enough amenities to make your stay pleasant.

Super cozy and complete room. It might not be large but is very comfortable with all the amenities needed. Fritz, the owner and proprietor, is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully located on the Eagle River.

Nice fire pit, mini waterfalls, watercraft rental availability and right along the shoreline. Good location near intersections of Hwy 70 and 17 outside of Eagle River and 20 miles from Rhinelander.
