Hotel in Edgartown
On the coast of Martha’s Vineyard overlooking the Edgartown Lighthouse, this hotel is a 10 minute walk from downtown Edgartown. It features an on-site restaurant, 2 bars, and sailing lessons. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! It is luxurious, comfortable, clean and in a great location. The evening turn down service is a really nice touch and the rooms were cleaned and beds made daily. The fragrance used in the communal areas is lovely and made the experience feel even more special. I bought this trip as a 40th birthday present to my husband and he throughly enjoyed it. My husband and I are total foodies and the dinner we ate at the hotel restaurant was fantastic - a definite 10/10! We had only booked the restaurant for one evening as we had planned to eat in other places but ended up having room service instead. The food quality and choice was exactly the same as dining in the restaurant which is very rare in hotels. We definitely intend to come back to Martha’s Vineyard just so we can stay here again! :)

Depending on how you like to vacation, this is a very good spot. It was close to all of the day trips we wanted to do. Our rental was like staying in a small house. This was helpful because we were on a 3-week trip and had over packed to begin with. We had looked at a camping ground, but the extra amount of 'stuff' we would have needed would have been overwhelming. It's vacation spot, so you will have to deal with traffic, but it wasn't as bad as Route 80 in Jersey at rush hour. There were a number of good restaurants, but the kitchen in the rental made it the best between eating out and eating in.
Quaint town with nice shops and restaurants, historical houses over 200 years old, nice small hotels (Sydney is recommended) and a beautiful sandy beach nearby. Edgartown is the nicest town in Martha's Vineyard. Renting cars is VERY EXPENSIVE (close to $400 per day) but the island has a very extensive public transportation system with several lines of buses that cover the entire island (except Chapaquidik) with swiss-like schedules.
If you've never seen Edgatown before it'll blow your mind the first time it's loaded with all these Oceanfront rich houses that whaling captains owned from the long-ago. Money is definitely wanted in this small New England quaint town. This is definitely a cool place to ride your bike without a helmet and it's even a cooler place if you take a bike ride down to South Beach or all the way to Oak Bluffs which is 6 miles of bike trail from the coast it's awesome
Such a beautiful town - wonderful for a relaxing vacation. We climbed the lighthouse, went biking to Oak Bluffs, went shopping, ate at some FABULOUS restaurants (Bettini; The Dunes), enjoyed quaint breakfasts (Among the Flowers; Edgartown Diner) and had no trouble getting/using taxis to get around (Adam Taxi Co). The weather in September is superb and there are less crowds! We stayed at the Sydney and it could not have been a more perfect accomodation - beautiful and excellent in town location!
Proximity to shops, restaurants and beaches was perfect. Just walking around the neighborhoods was enjoyable. The homes and landscaping were lovely. Relative to dining, we loved the deck seating at the Seafood Shanty. The bar help were superb as were the beverages. Among the Flowers Cafe was a perfect spot for something quick but we felt the need to move on when done. Had an anniversary dinner at Bettini Restaurant and we had the best meal and service there. The atmosphere was very pleasant too. Lastly our breakfasts at our Inn were elegant and leisurely. I would love to go back to the Sydney. I definitely will try their Restaurant but it was not open on a regular basis and that was disappointing.
The area was quaint and regal. The parking was horrible. Plenty of shops and places to eat. I thought the shops were a bit pricey. The food was delicious. Plenty to do. Glad I drove car and caught the ferry over.
The hotel location is A+ located in downtown Edgartown. Our room was clean, tastefully decorated and larger than a comparable one that we had at the Marriott Copley in Boston. Their outdoor pool is a decent size & has an accompanying outdoor bar area serving wine/sushi. Daily cleaning services were provided when requested. Front desk personnel were welcoming and kind during our many interactions. Bikes with wicker baskets were available as well.
Edgartown
Excellent location. Easy to walk everywhere in Edgartown, but the property was in a quiet location. Rooms were small but very nice. Lovely outdoor courtyard. A yummy light breakfast was delivered to our door at our request in the morning. Staff were gracious, while being very cognizant of Covid rules... This was our first getaway during the pandemic — we felt very safe and were so pleased to make the trip to Martha’s Vineyard.
Edgartown
Great location, just a few minutes walk to the main town of Edgartown. Room was big, clean and safe. Plenty of beach/pool towels are available at reception and the pool area was nice. Accommodations on Martha's Vineyard are expensive - this was priced just right!
Lovely little place, rooms are clean and comfortable and it has a perfect location! Walking down to the front is just 10 minutes and Stop and Shop next door has everything you need. The hotel bar/restaurant ‘Town’ had excellent food too!
Quiet, private, well appointed, convenient to Edgartown. Very clean. Had a complete kitchen though we only used the Keurig and the refrigerator. The TV worked fine, the hot water was, well, hot.
Everything is fine but the no elevator is a big disappointment considering the price we are paying. For our ages of 65, it might be a reason we would think twice before booking this hotel
Edgartown
The location was good. It was within walking distance of most restaurants and shops in the beautiful town of Edgartown. There was a nice deck and backyard for my granddaughter to play.
