Featuring an indoor pool and hot tub, this Enterprise, Oregon hotel is 11 miles from Wallowa Lake State Park. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. A daily continental breakfast is provided on site. Breakfast was very good. Place had a great pool and hot tub.
it was a busy Fourth of July weekend, and we enjoyed our stayed going to Wallowa lake and the many things to do, like the Tram ride (and took our lunch up to the top too), the miniature golf was so fun (recommend in the evening, when it is not hot), and really fun to go on the joseph branch railrider cars, riding down a historic train track....was a Blast!!
It was close enough to Joseph, the more touristy town, and Wallowa Lake but by staying there you can save some money. Some of the restaurants were not open. And none were open much past 8:00. So if you are a late eater, stay in Joseph. The "tourist" things in Enterprise were not advertised very much, such as the tour of the Bronze Store." Would like to have seen it, but it was not open when we were there. We ate at a small, family Mexican Restaurant right next door to our motel, which was convenient. Very friendly, and great food.
The rooms were big and comfortable and clean. The view from the window was awesome. The desk manager was accommodating, helpful and very personable. The room was affordable. It was very clean. We loved it.
Enterprise is a traditional eastern oregon town and I believe the county seat. It seems to be the business shopping hub for the vast surrounding area. The real attraction is that it is very close to Joseph and the Wallowa scenic region
The town is very small so there aren’t many restaurants. However the Terminal Gravity Bar is wonderful and there is a Safeway. We preferred all the shops and restaurant choices in nearby Joseph and would probably have stayed there if we could have found somewhere available.
It is nar Joseph without the prices and crowding of the more touristy Joseph. It as also a good place to take off from to go to both the Hat point overlook (looking down over 5000 feet to the Snake River) and to Copperfield (on the river).
Great breakfast, unlike many other hotels who have suspended breakfast due to covid they have worked out a great system of letting you put in an order the morning before and having it hot and ready for you.
No breakfast, location was good. Attended Chief Joseph Days. Wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was rustic, we will stay there next year as Chief Joseph Days is annual.
Booking.com booked us in a room that wasn't available. Thankfully the staff at the hotel were able to take care of us.
