This is a wonderful hotel and would highly recommend. We loved the feel of the hotel, it didn’t feel like just another chain hotel. The restaurant was great, lots of things for kids and adults to do, ie pool, foosball, bar, arcade games, darts. The free parking lot is a plus, as well as the s’mores by the outdoor fire. Woodlands on Fall River is a 5-star property located in Estes Park. Each room at the 5-star hotel has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot tub. We liked the location. Close to everything but yet out-of-the-way of everything, nestled in the woods next to a small river. The Christmas lights were very nice and when we arrived it was snowing. Coming from Florida we couldn't of asked for a better Christmas present.

Best hostel yet!!! Beds very comfortable and love that they were NOT bunk-beds!!! Also, LOVED the huge space below the bed for suitcase and other AND there was a notch at bottom for a lock. Amazing kitchen!!!. Never too crowded. Showers very nice with hot water. Great location for sure. Highly recommend!!!
Beautiful country but over priced. 8 pack of drinks in Texas are 5.99, same drinks here are 10.99. Of course you know ahead of time that it will be very pricey but, twice the price of something as simple as drinks are rediculous.
Estes Park is a beautiful destination with so many attractions. Hiking, nature walks, climbing, etc with scenic views of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The Fall River and the Big Thompson River run through the town and converge at the Riverwalk. The town is more like a quaint village with many shops featuring artwork, souvenirs, candy, etc. There are many very good restaurants and bars catering to everyone’s tastes. The gorgeous Rocky Mountain National Park abuts Estes Park and it’s a “must see” attraction. A great destination area for families, couples and outdoor enthusiasts!
My husband and I had Friday evening and Saturday to enjoy Estes Park & RMNP since he's a landscaper and our daughter was hanging with a friend in Loveland. We loved our stay at Murphy's and hope to go back and stay for at least a week. We walked to town and took the 4 x 4 tour of RMNP which we would highly recommend if you are short on time. We enjoyed Claire's Restaurant and walking town with the elk roaming across from the hotel. Pack layers - it's colder by the mountains, but so beautiful with the snow still on the peaks (5/23)!!!
I have visited Estes Park twice now. The views and scenery never disappoints. I have seen an abundance of hiking trails, although hiking isn’t my style. I have however spent a good bit of time in the off-road trails near town, in a rented jeep and personal vehicle. There are trails for every skill yet from beginner to experienced. There are also a lot of local shops with anything from sweets and food to jewelry and local merchandise.
Estes Park is always a nice short getaway since we live close. They have a lot of road construction going on right now so not as asthetic as usual. There are lots of shops to visit some good food chioces, could use more! The Stanley Hotel, mountain views, and proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park are a big draw. Overall a fun place to visit!
Location was ideal. Less than 2 miles on the entrance road to Rocky Mountain National Park. Minutes from downtown Estes Park and the Stanley Hotel. On the side of Deer Mountain with incredible views of the mountain and into the valley of downtown. Phenomenal location and picturesque view. Just ideal. Also very large home with plenty of space to spread your family out.
Estes Park
The room is cozy and self contained, but a short staircase leads to the lobby. We loved the built-in fireplace, and the shower/jacuzzi combo was wonderful! The Swiss decor of the hotel and the short walk from Estes Park downtown shops was the original draw, but the room was comfortable and the daily breakfast (and evening snacks!) were very nice touches.
Estes Park
Hotel Estes provided our group with a large, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and expert customer service. Enrique, in particular, was always available to answer our every question and provide us with great recommendations for Rocky Mountain National Park and around Estes Park. Would definitely come to stay again in the near future!!!
Estes Park
Great location to Estes Park downtown shopping experience, within walking distance. Exceptional staff, very kind & attentive. Close to the historical Stanley Hotel and Rocky Mountain National Park......loads of adventures to be had. My husband and I had a great time which was achieved by our comfortable stay at Murphy’s River Lodge.
It was quiet and quaint, and such a pleasure to stay at! Todd was an excellent host, and he made the experience more welcoming. We loved the room and the service that was offered and even showed us the best ways to get around estes park and how to do the activities we had planned.
The hotel seemed very well kept, clean. The location was ok, no road noise. the Tv was nice and big. the kids had fun in the hanging chairs for a bit. And, the fire pits were beautiful even though we couldn't use them, it rained.
Estes Park
It is in beautiful Estes Park. This is the best thing about the hotel. The bed is comfy and the shower is roomy. The breakfast was nice considering the Covid situation. It claims to be powered 100% by clean/solar energy.
Did not eat at hotel… bed good couch and chair soiled …take a look at room 122 it is a mess .. promo pic very misleading… requested a refund when I arrived and saw what was not acceptable.. management refused my request…
Beautiful hotel, big room with all amenities. Chris at front desk was so kind to help me when I called because I had left my jacket. He kindly looked for it so that I could pick it up later :)
Estes Park
The room was clean and tidy. It had a nice, little table and chairs for eating. The location is in the center of Estes Park's 'hotel row' so you couldn't ask for more.
Estes Park
Great place to visit. The hotel is a large complex of buildings with cabins, apartments, condominiums and a lot of things to do. Very close of Rocky Mountain. Great Breakfast.
