Beautiful location within a stroll of town. The front of house team are friendly and helpful, the housekeeping team are thorough. The hotel’s location by the river is delightful and the little touches make it homely, lots of seating by the river, popcorn and toasted marshmallows in the evenings.

Estes Park is a popular tourist destination next to Rocky Mountain National Park, RMNP, in north central Colorado. It is in a stunning location. The downtown is quite touristy and in the summer, parking is difficult but doable. Estes Park is a destination in itself but surrounded by a larger destination- RMNP. In one day we saw mountain goats, deer and a herd of elk. The elk winter in Estes Park itself. The animals are magnificent but also a bit troublesome for the residents. But what a problem to have.

A beautiful place to stay, relax, hike, and dine during the non-summer season. Downtown Estes Park and the Safeway grocery stories are still crowded in October. Best to use Estes Park as a base for activities within a short traveling distance of Estes Park. Avoid the summer months or you will be elbow-to-elbow with 4.7 million visitors.

    We had a great weekend.

We had a great weekend. Lots to do, went on a tour of the Stanley hotel, lots of fun, had lunch on the patio of their chicken restaurant. Strolled the town and shops, stopped for wine tasting at Snowy Peaks winery, had dinner in town, excellent steak and ribs. Strolled along the river. Had a picnic at Estes lakes and took the hiker bus to Rocky Mountain Park and went hiking. Went home tired and happy!! Great for a weekend get away from Denver.

Estes Park is a beautiful mountain town.

Estes Park is a beautiful mountain town. I hadn't visited since 1976! It's changed a bit and is busier, but that's to be expected. Rocky Mountain National Park is stunning and a must visit too. Great experience, great memories! Hope to be back before so long next time!
