I loved the mountain view and the firepit/s'mores. The pool, hot tub and game room looked great. We just did not have time to do them. The lodge was also very close to YellowStone and not far from the airport.

A comfortable bed, a cute kitchen with an ample fridge and a microwave, complete with dishes. The bathroom sink doubles as the kitchen sink. It did have a coffemaker and hair dryer. The decoration was in keeping with the rough backwoods vibe of Yellowstone National Park. We did love seeing the elk wandering around the yards and nearby.

We walked all over Gardiner as it is a very small place. Paradise Deli made great sandwiches. The Gardiner Market has everything you need (almost!) so we went there almost daily. Hot coffee and hot breakfast sandwiches were a hit in our family. There were lots of great little shops for gifts and coffee - plus the Roosevelt Arch which is cool to check out. Lots of elk wander through the town - especially in early morning. Plus, the Yellowstone River runs right down the middle of the town. It is such a cool place to check out.

Nice town with a number of options for resturants for dinner and breakfast. We used a luandromat while we were there that was very good and clean. This town is a great location for visiting Yellowstone.

Gardiner is a great place to start (or end) a trip to Yellowstone National Park as it's right outside the North Entrance. While there, we went horseback riding (a 30 min, 8 mile drive up into the mountains) and white water rafting - each for 2 hours. Those activities were so much fun and easy to book online. The town has a few gift/souvenir shops, a grocery store, and a few restaurants. We saw lots of elk!

Gardiner is a very small town and completely tourist related. Not enough restaurants, though we were a bit after "season". Hotel was really good. Gardiner is convenient to the north side of Yellowstone. The NE entrance is closer to Lamar Valley but the town there is even smaller

Sleepy country town located at the North Yellowstone...
Sleepy country town located at the North Yellowstone entrance. Great for access to northen areas for wildlife sightings. Bison, Bear, Wolf, Coyote, Elk everywhere. Food varieties are somewhat limited. Mostly American fare, quite pricey and not that great. For relaxation, I highly recommend Yellowstone Hot Springs a few miles out of town. Inexpensive and a class act!

The views were beautiful! Our room was great.
The views were beautiful! Our room was great. We met many friendly people there. Mostly its location just outside Yellowstone NP made this a wonderful place for our vacation. There were tons of shops and restaurants but we didn't have time to stay because we were travelling to Yellowstone.
Perfectly located for yellowstone, but also beautifully located for a sundowner at the hotel terasse with amazing views on yellowstone River. We highly enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious, clean and has everything which is needed.
Biggest plus is the relaxed and calm atmosphere with the very nice staff.
We loved it here and can highly recommend it.
