Located in Greer, 6 miles from Sunrise Park Resort, Edelweiss Resort Greer provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a fitness center and a bar. It felt like home, nice and cozy. I also liked the fact that the room had boiler heat instead of the conventional fan forced heat. Boiler heat always makes it more comfortable

This is a beautiful location. They're lots of woods and fields to walk your pets. Love that they are pet friendly. Though, more training needed towards customers needs. No continental breakfasts offered, though advertised in the booking. Cabins need repairs and heat would be a plus in the rooms at 21 degrees outside. Will not go back. I'll stay at the other cabins there next time.
It was our first time in Greer and we really liked the area. In August the highs are in the 70's, probably the coolest place in Arizona. The country is beautiful and uncrowded. Compared to other resort type destinations, accomidations and food are very reasonable. Molly Butler has great food, some of the best chili I have ever tasted. We also tried the Edelweiss, a new German themed restaraunt in town, it was alright, but I don't know if I would eat there again. I fly fish and wanted to catch Apache Trout. I hired a local guide, Cinda Howard, for a day and from my experience recommend her highly, one of the best guides I have ever fished with. Her knowledge of the waters in the White Mountains was extensive and her helpful yet unobtrusive guiding style excellent. I caught Apache Trout and learned a lot about the fish and where to find them. I hope to return in the Spring of next year to fish the area more and will spend at least a day with Cinda when I do. I would recommend filling the gas tank and grabbing any groceries prior to arrival, there are not many services available in Greer.
Great people and area. Only one market so bring some stuff such as groceries from Pinetop or Show Low but definitely support local! They have cool stuff and a small population which makes for the perfect isolated vacation with beautiful trees and mountains.
My husband and I love Greer, it is a small little town with the most beautiful views of the majestic trees, a variety of vegetation and the little Colorado River. There are two restaurants open all year round. You can see wild life all the time. Greer is a great place to visit at any time of the year, but specially in the summer, when everywhere else is hot, Greer's temperatures in the summer are in the 70's for high.
Beautiful scenery except for the burned area on the far hillside, but nothing can be done about that except maybe re-plant and give some time. The village itself is beautiful (no burned areas) and "down homey" and everyone friendly. Easy to get around. We went horseback riding at Snowy Mountain Stables and did some fishing.
Greer is a wonderful area to escape Arizona's summer heat. A bonus is that it is beyond the busyness of Show Low & Lakeside. But, the remoteness might not appeal to families with teenagers. It is a good central location for the many fine hikes in the area.
We loved the little cabin. It was very cute, very cozy, and I was thankful to have multiple options of warmth as we showed up in unexpected snow storm. We were happy to have everything here so we didn't have to bring a bunch of stuff and thank you for supplying firewood as well that was awesome. This was our first time ever to Greer and we loved it so much will definitely be back!
Location was very pretty. Plenty of log cabins to rent around this place. The front desk girl I found to check in was pleasant.
