I had an issue with the passkey and the apartment number. It seems like booking through Booking.com caused an issue. But, the hosts were easily reachable and resolved the issue.

Hancock is an amazing place to stay to travel to several destinations, beaches, scenic drives, quaint shops, and long walks. Located near the bridge to Houghton, running back and forth was a 5-min excursion to our favorite people and places to dine out.

I always stop by Amy J's pastys to take some home with me. La Cantina is an excellent restaurant. We just love the area and have visited many times. Peterson's Fish market by the Quincy Mine, top of the hill for their smoked trout is a must go out and getcha sum now.

The area is beautiful and the actual accommodations are fairly nice. I guess if you don't have any issues with your reservation you'll be ok. Don't make any mistakes booking or you'll be screwed!

On the water, so the occasional boat going by. We ate around, trying only local places, and were not disappointed! Amy's seafood was great (just know there are no restrooms there). Milly's pizza (owner changed to the Orpheum) was also really good! I looked to Yelp for suggestions, and directions. Ate at several places in Houghton also, as they were open later. Can't miss the Library, Valerie's, or Suomi Cafe. We didn't have time for a few on our list, so maybe next time. Watch all the one-way streets, so using the map apps is very helpful. Necessary, actually. Also, in the winter, the hills are a thing.

I really enjoy visiting the surrounding areas, but the lesser cost hotels are often full during the fall color season, snowmobile season, and any time Michigan Tech has an event: Fall check in, parents weekend, winter carnival, end of spring semester. Favorite place to eat: Suomi Bakery in Houghton. Great breakfast food and frozen pasties to go. Get there early, or prepare to wait a bit to get a table. Call a couple of days ahead if you want to be sure you get pasties to take home (sometimes they sell out). Second favorite place to eat: Kaleva cafe. Great food, nice people (except for the one grouchy one, but that doesn't stop us from eating there).

The room was super clean and beds were comfortable. Beautiful view of the water out our window. Able to open the window and get fresh air, which was nice for sleeping. The front desk was amazing: courteous and happy despite the fact she was doing it all! She laid out a great hot breakfast and coffee was always full. We don’t often stay at Ramada Inns but we will again due to our good experience.

The parking was great, and I know that parking in Hancock can be a challenge. I had an appointment an hour after checkout at a place that was only 15 minutes from the hotel, and the staff was very accommodating. They let me check out late with no problems.

For being an older Quinn peninsula hotel, it is up very well, it’s not fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable. They redid the concrete around the pool area, it looks very nice.
