Helen is centrally locate to many local attractions.

Helen is centrally locate to many local attractions. We visted Brasstown Bald where the view if fantastic. We rode the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. We floated the Chatahoochie on innertubes. We toured the local towns. The Unicoi State Park is just outside of town with many activities. Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee is phenominal, offering fishing, water skiing and boat rentals. Hofer's of Helen is a MUST DO for breakfast!

Interesting little place. Not to Comercial.

Interesting little place. Not to Comercial. Prices for things were a bit high but as expected. I hadn't been in Georgia in years. I didn't know they could sell Marijuana in public stores. There was a shop in the middle of town. Was kinda shocked Seeing how you could sit in marked areas and drink a beer.

Interesting village but could use more varied shopping.

Interesting village but could use more varied shopping. Mostly t-shirts and souvenirs. Saw a few shops with better stuff, but on the whole, nothing to write home about. It was easy to get around the town. Needed a few more restaurants and not the expensive kind. Disappointed in the pastries (strudel).

    Everything is in walking distance!

Everything is in walking distance! Not many places to sit if you need a rest. Signage can be hard to read for some places but everyone was friendly and helped us find where we were going. The GA Mountain Coast had a long que, but it moved quickly and was worth the wait. So many food options, we can't wait to go back and try something new! The drinks at The Troll were top notch.

We traveled in peak season yet there was still not a lot of people there. I was surprised they started charging for parking. $10 for a Sunday morning for 1 hour seemed a bit steep. Also, even though several shops said they were open at 10am on Sunday, several were still closed...even until we left at noon. It's a cute town and def a one day trip!

    Helen was beautiful and quaint.

Helen was beautiful and quaint. A little too touristy but I guess the atmosphere is the main draw. Enjoyed the natural areas around Helen the most. So peaceful and quiet. Everything is so green... something appreciated by someone visiting from Florida. Staying at Vahalla Resort was perfect. The Resort was beautiful, and the staff were extremely accommodating. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality experience. The food at the resort was so good we hardly had to venture anywhere else for dining.

The breakfast was good and everything on the breakfast bar was well stocked. The room had plenty of space, even with a king bed. Overall, very pleased with the motel and it's convenient location to the downtown area.
