We stayed one night to go fishing at Drano Lake the next day. The room isn't anything special with the usual amenities with nice comfortable beds. I do not recommend staying with children as the walls are quite thin and you can hear everything. Customer service is not existent with mediocre check-in process.
Fabulous little town. Great restaurants, breweries, shopping. Outdoor enthusiasts: skiing, water sports, hiking, biking. Hood River Hotel : rooms a little funky but hey if you want an authentic old hotel experience this is the place, lovely foyer w/ fire place to cozy up, restaurant . And best part right on Main Street w/ easy access to most everything
Hood River is an amazing town on the Columbia River. I was only there overnight but in that stay I had a great dinner at Cilelo, a great hike at Cayote Wall on the Washington state side of the river, and a good rest at the Inn at the Gorge. I can’t wait to come back and spend more time here!
Hood River is always fun. It's fun to visit the different winery's. Although I have to say that on the Washington side, the two I tried to go to required appointments, which I find to be ridiculous. The water front park is a great place to walk your dog and the restaurants are great!!
This place was a real dump and filthy. I would never recommened this place to anyone. Stay away. filthy carpet, windows, broken blinds, outside was gross, deck talbe and dinning room table filthy. boom box did not work. Silver drawer was gross. I had to clean it before I put back the silverware. NO screens on all three doors. blinds in bedrooms were either broken or 3 feet too long. Floors were not clean. We were left a half roll of toilet paper. The pictues on Booking.com are totally misleading. Can't believe we spent over 840.00 dollars for this place. What a major let down.
Evidently our room we reserved was overbooked, so the hotel upgraded us to a beautiful suite at no extra charge and a $20.00 credit for breakfast the next morning! Breakfast was perfect.. Great place to stay. Definitely would recommend!
Hood River
We stayed for one night and it was a clean and comfortable room. From the road it doesn't look like much but the rooms were nice. I appreciated the comfort of the bed and the room had nice hardwood floors. The room wasn't very big but it was big enough and met all our expectations. I was pleasantly surprised how quite it was and we had a nice view of the garden behind the hotel. Location made it easy to get into downtown and drive the through the area exploring the fruit stands and shops. Overall a nice little place to stay.
Very clean, comfortable and a gorgeous view of the Columbia River Gorge & Hood River Bridge from our balcony! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! One of the more beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at! Love that they offered a grab and go option for breakfast!
The location is excellent right on the main drag in downtown. It's a historic hotel, so there's abundant charm, and the lobby opens up to a cafe/restaurant, with live music on the weekends. The rooms are cozy with nice furnishings and views toward the river
We were very pleased with the customer service when we checked in and when we were leaving. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful with everyone that was there eating. Best hotel / motel stay we have ever had!
Really love this Hotel Had been there for a wedding in 1988! And stayed there then, so when visiting Hood River for an art show, I wanted to stay there again. It is such a beautiful setting!
Room clean and large. Nice back patio. Plenty of towels. Questions on hood restaurants - gave us many choices. Although hotel is little old it was extremely clean, quiet and safe.
