Hiker’s paradise! We packed as many destinations as we possibly could into one weekend and want to spend a week next time. The locations we managed to visit were: The Sand Caves a few miles up the road. Pink Coral Sand Dunes several miles up the road. Bryce Canyon National Park 1 and 1/2 hours away. On the list for our next visit: The Great Chamber arch Peek-A-Boo Canyon -planning on bringing a Land Cruiser with a lifted clearance for this one.
Kanab is a nice little town that is the gateway to both Buckskin Gulch slot canyon and Zion National Park. It has at least two well-stocked supermarkets, Honey's and Glazier's, that are good for stocking up on supplies. There are a number of reasonably-priced hotels/motels. Red Rock Cabins is on the outskirts of the town and is clean and inexpensive. The Rocking V Cafe is an excellent, independent restaurant, and there are numerous fast-food chains. That said, there's not much in Kanab to see or do.
The scenery is beautiful. We only stayed overnight. We have eaten twice at the Wild Tyne restaurant and thought the food was very good and the service too. We also had very good service at the best Western Red Hills Motel. They have handicap access rooms and their free breakfast is the best that I have had.
Good size, including kitchenette. Great for extended stays. Walkable to downtown. Roku TV, so everything is streaming. Great shower with pump soap, shampoo & conditioner. No mess or plastic bottles to content with. Good linens. Recommended.
This accomodation in Kanab Suites is THE BEST we've stayed at. It has everything we needed, very comfortable. We have a basic 2 burner stove, full ref and MW, toaster, coffee maker, dishes etc. The bathroom is very roomy with just shower (which I like, I don't like having tubs). The furnishings are very decent, not cheap junk. The place is nicely remodeled, It provides at least 2 luggage racks, 2 chairs and a small dining table. The keyless entry/exit is very convenient, just memorize the code. It has laundry facilities which is supposedly free to guests but we did not take advantage, still a very nice extra. Very very satisfied with this place. Highly recommended. Peek a Boo and Bryce Canyon are a must to see.
Kanab is a great base for seeing the parks of southern Utah and Northern Arizona, including Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Escalante, Vermilion Cliffs and Lake Powell. The town is not as developed at Springdale, but it is coming along. All major services are available. Many good restaurants.
This place is great !!! It's really human & pet-friendly, dog bed pullouts, dog parks in the back, dog water & food bowls in the room, a mini-fridge, great bath amenities. The room is so clean, beautifully redesigned, cozy, and it's roomy. It's way bigger than the las vegas 5-star hotel's regular room. The staff was so nice. Highly Highly recommend if you go Kanab (with a dog or without a dog).
Clean, spacious, nicely decorated room. Comfortable king bed. Perfect size shower and bright lighting in the bathroom. There is also a kitchenette, however we didn`t cook. Convenient location for visiting Zion National Park. The hotel is centrally located in Kanab, so all shopping and restaurants are walking distance. There are sitting areas with gas fire pits outside.
Kanab
THE CABIN ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND EQUIPED. THERE IS A SMALL SHOP ALONG WITH GAS STATION WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE CABIN AND THAT IS VERY CONVENIENT FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT TRAVELING WITH THEIR OWN CARS. THE VIEW OF THE CABIN WAS BEAUTIFUL. KANAB IS VERY SAFE WITH NO CRIME. SO WE WERE REALLY COMFORTABLE WALKING AROUND AT NIGHT AS WELL.
Kanab
We love staying at Perrys Lodge when we are in Kanab. Great location. Can walk to a beautiful park just up the street. Can walk to dinner or explore the downtown area of Kanab. Rooms are always clean. The hotel has a lot of history. It is like a step back in time. Very nostalgic. The staff are always helpful and friendly.
Kanab
Remodeled old school motel with a lot of character. Super clean. Excellent array of toiletries. High quality linens and towels. Friendly and courteous front desk staff. Nice continental breakfast. Impersonal big box hotels moving in to Kanab, support the little guys so they can stay in business.
it was a really comfortable room. We had a great day. We stayed three nights while we explored Zion and Bryce national parks. It was awesome. We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was super delicious and felt like casual elegance in Kanab.
Clean, big and quiet room. There is a small pool located in a nice garden (unlike the other motels that usually have the pool near the street or the parking lot). Good breakfast (with waffle, bread, jam, coffee, tea, fruit, ...).
Kanab
The retro decor. It’s not a luxurious property but seems appropriate for location. We be liked it a lot. Breakfast at nearby hotel very good
Spacious rooms and fresh modern feel. Excellent location for Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon North Rim. Kanab has a good range of restaurants.
This hotel i amazing very quite and best coffee shop next to hotel. Staff was very friendly lots of restaurants with in walking distance.
Looks nothing from the outside, but inside it has everything you would want, Best kitchen setup I’ve seen in a motel.
The hotel is super close to Bryce canyon and Zion national park. The staff is really nice. The room was clean …
Nice place, clean and comfortable, 10 minutes by walking from the center of Kanab
It's a new and clean hotel with nice staff and decent breakfast
I’ve stayed in Kanab before. This was the best so far.
Kanab
really cool place to stay in Kanab. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfy and you can tell it is cleaned and cared for! 10/10 would book again. It is true what the neon sign said when we arrived "good vibes" :)
We loved the feel of the hotel. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed getting to see the inside of the "fancy" hotel.
