My group enjoyed our stay, we watched the balloons going up, night glow, listened to the music in the center, enjoyed the vendors. We enjoyed the thrift stores , Best Friends Santuary and resturants in town.
We LOVE Kanab. We have hiked peekaboo canyon, the belly of the dragon, off roading in hog canyon, explored Native American ruins (respectfully) and kids toured the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Shops and museums are always fun to explore. We wanted to eat breakfast at Houston's but sadly, their hours have changed and didn't allow for that. Escobars mexican restaurant one night. Food is FANTASTIC as was the service!
We decided to use Kanab as our base of operations to visit Zion, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Glen canyon National Recreation Area, Vermillion Cliffs, the Navajo Bridge and Lee's Ferry. Kanab is a nice quiet friendly town, first settled in 1864 so is full of history and still holds it's small town charm. Utah is a beautiful state and Kanab is a great place to stay and explore all the attractions above.
Kanab is a cute, quite small town, with a lot of things to offer. From the hotel restaurants, shops and groceries are just walking distance. Also, about an hour and half drive to ZION, BRYCE AND GRAND CANYON N RIM. If I am going back to travel UTAH and AZ, I will stay in Kanab and IHG again! We highly recommend it.
The city of Kanab has a small town feel. The shop proprietors w were all very nice. The restaurants and stores open later than we expected. Only gas stations were open before 7-8am. No restaurants or coffee shops were available to grab food or drinks as we headed out on on our early morning hikes.
Hiker’s paradise! We packed as many destinations as we possibly could into one weekend and want to spend a week next time. The locations we managed to visit were: The Sand Caves a few miles up the road. Pink Coral Sand Dunes several miles up the road. Bryce Canyon National Park 1 and 1/2 hours away. On the list for our next visit: The Great Chamber arch Peek-A-Boo Canyon -planning on bringing a Land Cruiser with a lifted clearance for this one.
The house was beautiful and so clean. Plenty of room for 6 people. Met Omar and he was the best!! So welcoming, friendly and informative. Loved the area!! We were here for 4 days for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend. Everything in Kanab was great. I would recommend walking across the street to the Kanab Creek Bakery for a warm croissant. Can’t say enough good things about the area and this rental.
The room was clean and the best were comfortable, but the breakfast was served in a "grab bag". There are plenty of hotels serving hot breakfasts. This hotel is using Covid as an excuse not to cater to the desires and needs of the people. I had to purchase other food for my family, because we didn't enjoy the "sack breakfast".
We liked our stay here. Room was big, comfortable and quiet. We had a "take a break day" and used the swimming pool and it was good. Breakfast was really good. Kanab is nice little city with a lot of history. However our day off was on a Sunday and most stores werr closed so we didn't get a chance to go souvenir shopping like we wanted.
The value of this hotel is actually very good. The stay is pleasant and the comfort you get for the price is amazing. Breakfast is also included and its pretty decent. Rooms are pretty clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Room had a fridge and a microwave which was excellent. Also nice to be able to do laundry (paid) at the location
Kanab
very cute hotel. the staff was really nice (love the hospitality). the pool is clean. they provide bikes, map (for things to do in Kanab and the surrounding area), and tennis racquets for the guests free of charge. the parking lot is literally right out the room. would come back again if I plan another vacation in the future!
Breakfast everyday was amazing! Very good! The best hotel breakfast I've ever had! The staff was VERY nice! They had complimentary bikes you could ride around the town, we unfortunately never got the chance due to being so busy each day. I would be happy to go back and try staying in the main hotel instead of the cabins.
The location is a good center point for visiting the canyon areas - Zion, Bryce, Kanab, Antelope, and the Grand Canyon. The rooms are comfortable but the breakfast is rather generic and not very healthy (kind of a let down!) Overall a good stay but a little pricey especially for the off season.
Welcoming and accommodating staff with a quaint room. The weather was very cloudy with light rain making it impossible to see Leonard comet and stars, but the hotel staff made up for the unkind nature. The Sego restaurant in the hotel was a big plus. The dinner was very enjoyable.
We were given breakfast bars & juice at check-in, which was a nice touch in light of COVID. I love that they are truly "pet friendly" and require no pet fee. It's ultimately what always makes us stay there when we are in Kanab!
We support Best Friends as much as we can. They do great work and its for a great cause. The Hotel/Motel was very nice, clean,"smart room", shower and bathroom were my favorite. And of course the Vegan continental breakfast!
Kanab
really cool place to stay in Kanab. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfy and you can tell it is cleaned and cared for! 10/10 would book again. It is true what the neon sign said when we arrived "good vibes" :)
Kanab
Lovely old hotel, great character Excellent breakfast surrounded by film stars of yesteryear!
The WiFi was the best thing about this hotel. How it got a 4 star rating baffles me
