Next door was the Golden Nugget which seemed to have a whole lot more to offer than this place. I was very disappointed in everything that went on basically except my room was pretty clean. The elevators not working was very disturbing and having to take the stairs. For the price of money you paid there should have been a refund for this! Why do you not have a elevator working this is ridiculous. And then they lied and said they take cash and charge the card anyway. Scam artists

We traveled to Lake Charles to enjoy the Golden Nugget and the amenities it offered. We didn't travel much within the city. We ate at the Olive Garden. The food and service was great. We stayed at the Holiday Inn. I would give the hotel five stars. The staff was awesome. Breakfast was great with different many selections of food and drinks.

This was a remarkable stay. It was impressive in the photos and definitely not disappointed during my stay. The room was clean, inviting and fresh. Specialties were appreciated. Your staff were friendly and helpful. This was the best stay I have ever had at a motel/hotel in my life. I’ve travel all over the US, stayed may places. Some cities like Houston, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Memphis, Dallas, Jackson, Ms. Lexington, Ky. and Cincinnati as well as many other places. I will let others know of this top notch place.

Lake Charles has much clean up to do due to the storms, but, It is a great place for a group gathering with access to the casinos, shopping, restaurants with great food. The people have been through so much destruction but are so down to earth and hospitable. We love the area.

If you’re thinking of venturing outside the property grounds of the high end casinos, think twice and don’t. A sad little town that struggles to be something it never will be 🥲. Were it not for the three (one being close temporarily) major casinos this pitiful little town would be just another undesirable dot on the I-10 corridor map of places not to stop.

I did not have an automobile to get around and the shopping center across the street was very difficult to get to. It would be nice if the city would have a streetlight somewhere in the middle of the block. The light on the corner is dangerous because of the traffic coming off of the freeway and cars making turns on the street.

(bathroom door did not close, painter's tape still in a few places) Loved the Jose Eber toiletries, comfy beds and linens. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
