I was born and raised in Lompoc, graduated from LUHS in 1962. Obviously, the town has changed a great deal since then. I've attended a few of my high school reunions. I remember when the Lompoc Inn and Suites was a new venue. I miss the acres and acres and acres of flower fields, although there are still some.

Lompoc was fine, but the hotel was horrible.
Lompoc was fine, but the hotel was horrible. The reply they gave to my negative review was insulting and untrue. If I hadn't had every minute committed to doing things, I would have found and gone to another hotel.
The "manager" was rude and didn't care about meeting my needs at all. What a jerk.

The weather is always a perfect mid 70's and perfect for walking the beach trails. With several local eateries you can choose from local wineries to a corner taco truck. If your interested in spending some time at the local casino or visiting the Solvang Village they are both a close distance away.

We went to the Return to Freedom ranch for a tour, specifically to see the horse that was used as a model for the animated film "SPIRIT" We meet Spirit and many other horses and donkeys/mules they have rescued and given a better life. It is beautiful and a great experience.
We also visited the Monastery in Lompac which was excellent. We had not planned that excursion but arrived too early to check in our room and needed to waste an hour before a room was available. We spent close to 2 hours at the Monastery. It was Great.

We used to love Lompoc, but now our favorite stores are...
We used to love Lompoc, but now our favorite stores are closed. The South Side Cafe is still there but so busy now you have to wait on line. We are happy for them, but it makes us nervous since the mask mandate has lifted so we didn't go in. The whole town seems depressed and nearly every downtown business is an alcohol based establishment. We won't be back.

This is a great hotel, really lovely welcome on arrival with complimentary tea and coffee. Lovely spacious clean room. Beautiful swimming pool and hot tub with lovely tubs of flowers round. The evening meal was an unexpected bonus. Really lovely staff, great food, 2 vouchers each provided for drinks - we had 2 lovely margaritas each. Lovely singer guitarist playing during our meal. Really good breakfast the following morning - perfect stop over on our Californian road trip.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of parking and easy access from the car to the room.
The room was comfortable and spacious with large bathroom, along with a fridge and hot drinks making facility.
The location was around a 30 minute walk to the downtown, which was a very pleasant walk before enjoying some of the bars in the area. The hotel was also near to restaurants/supermarkets.
The staff were always friendly, polite and very helpful.

It is a basic US city hotel. Good parking space and quiet location. Comfortable bed, To my surprise, the shower had a faucet that really could control flow and temperature independently. My room had a good working desk but with a metal rail that could use some love. I also liked Floriano's nearby restaurant for my dinner, reasonable prices, good food and better staff.

Nice room, clean and equipped with fridge and coffee maker. A lot of free parking spaces. You can park right near your room entrance door.
