Lompoc is a farming community with little to do.
Lompoc is a farming community with little to do. We stayed at The Village Inn at Vandenberg Village and found it a good quiet return point after days of touring Buellton, Solvang, Cambria, San Simeon and San Luis Obispo. If you are lucky enough to catch a space launch, Lompoc is a good place to see it. The closest tourist attraction is likely the Spanish La Purisima Mission.

Location is great, a lot of parking space, bigger room and bathroom, clean, pool, they give a goodie drink welcome.
What i don't like;
breakfast is awful. Food no taste. $20/person is not worth it. I don't mind pay for it. Feel like waste it.
Far from everywhere, not many option to eat except restaurant inside the hotel

I grew up in Lompoc, and while my parents moved me to San...
I grew up in Lompoc, and while my parents moved me to San Jose 60 years ago, I've never forgotten my childhood there, and the wonderful feel of a small town.
The mission, La Purísima Concepción, is still amazing, and something a visitor who appreciates history would enjoy. I highly recommend going on a free guided tour with a docent in order to have the best experience - ours was Barbara, and she was flat out amazing.

We were visiting with friends in Solvang but stayed in...
We were visiting with friends in Solvang but stayed in Lompoc because it's much less expensive. So we didn't spend much time in Lompoc. We did enjoy walking the trail that ran north of our hotel past the airport.

I was born and raised in Lompoc, graduated from LUHS in 1962...
I was born and raised in Lompoc, graduated from LUHS in 1962. Obviously, the town has changed a great deal since then. I've attended a few of my high school reunions. I remember when the Lompoc Inn and Suites was a new venue. I miss the acres and acres and acres of flower fields, although there are still some.

Lompoc was fine, but the hotel was horrible.
Lompoc was fine, but the hotel was horrible. The reply they gave to my negative review was insulting and untrue. If I hadn't had every minute committed to doing things, I would have found and gone to another hotel.
The "manager" was rude and didn't care about meeting my needs at all. What a jerk.

This is a great hotel, really lovely welcome on arrival with complimentary tea and coffee. Lovely spacious clean room. Beautiful swimming pool and hot tub with lovely tubs of flowers round. The evening meal was an unexpected bonus. Really lovely staff, great food, 2 vouchers each provided for drinks - we had 2 lovely margaritas each. Lovely singer guitarist playing during our meal. Really good breakfast the following morning - perfect stop over on our Californian road trip.

Location in Lompoc is great nearby food and groceries with easy access in and out of town
Walking distance to the wine ghetto is on the longer side but it's doable
Room is a nice size with a good bed, a clean bathroom

The room was spacious and clean, the shower clean and new. The restaurant attached to the hotel was an excellent solution for dinner.
Paige welcomed us at the counter, she was charming, tolerant, and very attentive to ensuring we were satisfied.
