CanadaI stayed at very old multi-unit building, right on the highway. Unit itself was very clean and had all what is needed to stay for 3 nights at ski resort, when you don't spend much time inside. I would say 'passable', but I wouldn't stay at the place like that again.
Price was inadequate, to put it mildly.

The town of Ludlow is very cute!
The town of Ludlow is very cute! We were able to visit the farmer’s market on Sunday. There are several restaurants, but some are closed seasonally or on certain days. A nice drive to other neighboring towns.

Tiny little town that is not too busy.
Tiny little town that is not too busy. Everything you need is just a short 2-3 mile drive. Beautiful town in the mountains with great restaurants and little shops. It was stunning in the summer with all the wildflowers.

Paper thin walls.
Paper thin walls. Can hear EVERY noise from outside and neighboring units. Next to highway. Pictures not accurate. Management company no help with issues and lost items. Close to slopes. Incredibly overpriced.

The town of Ludlow, Routes 100 and 103, is centrally located...
The town of Ludlow, Routes 100 and 103, is centrally located in Vermont with easy access to all roads. Scenic Route 100 runs through Ludlow. The restaurants were great, especially The Hatchery for breakfast and DJ's for dinner. The shopping area was small. Avoid Route 131 off the east side of town off Route 103, it starts out as a good two lane road and turns into a treacherous dirt/gravel road through the mountains.

Do not go to a lake house in the Ludlow area in summer of...
Do not go to a lake house in the Ludlow area in summer of 2023 after the flooding. - the lakes are filled with silt and you cannot use them. Likewise the well water is not safe to drink. I have been there in the past and it is lovely, mountains, hiking, lakes, theater, etc, but it was a mistake this year.

As noted by many, the breakfasts are simply amazing! Felt like we were in the cafe at a $1,000 a night European hotel. The property is great and very convenient, even on a cold windy night we walked to dinner. As with many New England B&Bs the Governor is an older home so we did not expect spacious rooms, but the deluxe king definitely was spacious and comfortable. The hosts/staff are unparalleled, they thought of everything to keep guests comfortable.

Newly renovated house with a gorgeous view of Lake Rescue in Ludlow. Everything seems like it was high quality and you can tell the owners put love into the renovation. Lots of space for a couples weekend or weekend with the family. Pet friendly as well. This was our first time in Vermont & and we’ll definitely be booking this property again!

The hotel was actually not in the castle, its a sperate building all together. This pic on the site are very deceiving and the rooms are very different then pic provided online when booking.
