Travel cups for coffee a nice touch. Attendant for the area very kind and helpful. We stayed at this Hotel before it became Red Roof. Malone is a small town. I am not sure of all the points of interest, but what I do know, is that there is fast food with delivery options, shopping, pharmacy, gas stations and a handful of motels, with B&B's. What I did not like is that there are police patrols next to almost every venue of entertainment so as to quickly write up a traffic ticket, especially if you're from out of town! Even if you are parked legally! Also!! THERE IS NO UBER OR LYFT to help you get around! Either you Drive your own car or you are Walking! No such thing as public transport, so good luck!
I loved my king size bed was cozy and comfy. Check in was smooth and so was check out. I only stayed one night so I wasn’t able to explore the hotel but I will be coming back to stay here when I visit Malone town again.
I like malone...have been up there in the winter and the summer. People are mostly friendly, like most towns. Seems to have everything I look for if I need to shop for something. Easy to get around...but watch your speed--Troopers are always looking to pull you over.
I was in Malone for a wedding. This Holiday Inn was perfect. The guests at the wedding were pleased with their stay. The bride and groom actually spent their first night in a suite and were pleased by the quality of the room.
We went to see the concert at the Franklin County Fair. Lots of people so needed to arrive early. We ate at Fat Jakes, a Tex-Mex resto in walking distance from the fairgrounds. Good tasty large portions at fair prices. I had shrimp tacos and my friend had a huge burger. Next time we'll share. We had the breakfast buffet at Hoslers which was the worst I've tasted in my life! Tasteless scrambled eggs and store-bought mini-muffins, buns, bread, all very dry. We had to order a portion of eggs each. When the bill arrived at $27, I went to complain and they adjusted it according to what we ate.

the location was excellent for where i had to go. within 5 minutes of my destination. the breakfast and staff where awesome. i loved the fact that the front desk staff was able to check me in early instead of waiting. i had my daughter and grands children with me and we were tired after an 8 hour drive. It was disappointing about the pool not being accessible. that was 50% of why i choose this hotel.
The hotel/motel, was conveniently located near anything you cold need. There were fast food chains, steak house, bar & grill, grocery store, gas stations, dollar general and is within 10 mins of Barehill, Franklin and Upstate c.f. if you're looking for a place to stay in town.
