Manhattan is a very cute and well maintained town.

Manhattan is a very cute and well maintained town. If has history, art, modern conveniences, and small town charm. Fort Riley is next door and has many historical attractions like museums. Outdoor experiences available such as ziplines, zoo, festivals, parks, trails, etc... Mall shopping, dining, and nice hotels are also accessible. Home of the KSU Wildcats, sports are a big deal. Residents are friendly.

We've stayed here in the past and were very sad to see how far the quality has slipped. The bed was hard with a huge dip in it. It was so uncomfortable that my husband ended up trying to sleep in the chair. The sink had a large crack in it. The toilet's flusher didn't seem to be the correct one and we had to lift it back up all of the time so the water would stop running. The fridge was very noisy all night long. The outside door on the side of the building was off it's hinges when we left in the morning. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful the night we checked in. The facility was disappointing.

We didn't see much of Manhattan itself as we were there for...

We didn't see much of Manhattan itself as we were there for a K-State basketball game. We did see many signs indicating sites of interest that we'd like to go back to visit. On a cousin's recommendation, we had Sunday morning breakfast at Early Edition. The food was excellent, but be prepared for a wait to be seated. It's a popular place! However, the restaurant was well staffed and efficient and the wait was bearable.

Manhattan is a quintessential Midwestern college town.

Manhattan is a quintessential Midwestern college town. The town wraps around the university on 3 sides and college activities are integral to the activities of the town. Manhattan has a nice walkable Main street along with a student-oriented commercial district across the street from the university. K-State is a full on fanatical for their sports teams and the fans and alumni far and wide show up for their teams. There are also some nice big city amenities like bistros, brewpubs and speakeasys. Manhattan is definitely worth a weekend trip to take in a sporting event and explore the surrounding area.

Manhattan is truly one of the happiest places I have ever...

Manhattan is truly one of the happiest places I have ever been. We love the people. The food and shops are great are great too. K-State University is a wonderful university with excellent facilities. Go for a game and enjoy the fun of Aggieville.

Chen Chinese restaurant was great!

Chen Chinese restaurant was great! They were very friendly and helpful. There are many nice places to eat. We went to a KState baseball game and had a lovely time. It is a very nice stadium. KState also has a garden that you can tour as well as a nice zoo. The shopping mall is close by too.

Staff was absolutely awesome. Helpful and friendly. My room was very clean and had all the basic amenities such as microwave, fridge, and even a jacuzzi tub. The free breakfast was a nice addition which lots of hotels no longer offer. It was basic but doable and appreciated.
