Nahma Inn has a restaurant, bar, a garden and private beach area in Nahma. The hotel features family rooms. Continental and buffet breakfast options are available every morning at the hotel. Get ready for a step back in time this place is very beautiful and charming the building is the woodwork but just don't expect modern things here you'll get to see the beauty of what things look back like at the turn of the last century and heads up some of the rooms do have bathrooms but you'll have to share a bathroom down the hallway the food and the restaurant or bar downstairs is really good the locals are very warm and friendly the staff is great if you just want to add normal getaway this is the place I was told that there's a ghost that resides in the building didn't see anything like that again the people are just warm and friendly the building is a step back in time if you're a person has to have a modern amenities you won't find it here there's no television in the room or a clock radio just a ceiling fan some very old furniture and good condition and the setting is very much countryside looks like something out of an old movie. Also there is a boat launch behind there so you can bring your boat.
I went primarily to visit the Seney National Wildlife Refuge which is terrific. But there are many other outstanding attractions close by, something for everyone depending on what you are interested in.
The area is beautiful. The water so clear and clean. Enjoyed visiting the nearby lighthouses and museums. Big Springs was amazing and peaceful. Kitch iti Kipi …go see it. We took a drive and found Fayette Historic State Park. Wow was that neat. A town practically preserved and abandoned. We did not get to view everything …need at least 1 day. So worth the drive to do more exploring of it.
The boardwalk and downtown were both great - lots to check out Nice place for low key visit to see the UP city is walkable interesting history too the educational plaques have good info good parking
loved the Boardwalk, although it was under construction, It was a good place to explore other areas ie. Kitchitikipi, Indian lake, points West and one day traveled to Munising to do the pictured Rocks tour. only 55-60 miles away. everywhere we ate they were strapped for help, it was super busy! we ate at BIG BOY next to hotel, MEH! another night ate in town, TAP 21, food good but long wait for tables & service. In Munising Eh BURGER was great by the boat docks, Muldoons pasties awesome, everywhere native YOOPERS super friendly, happy to give directions and recommend sights!
We took a ride downtown and caught the end of the Independence Day Parade - it was a slice of Americana! Unfortunately, COVID has apparently hit the downtown area pretty hard because the restaurants and bars were either closed or totally understaffed and undermanaged.
Nice town. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Has some of the old charm as well as new places to keep up with the times. Lots of natural beauty, lakeshore and Ketchi ta kipi. The 3 Seasons Diner served a real nice lunch/dinner. Going back for breakfast!
Loved the independently owned hotel. Love to support individual owners vs a corporation. Great place to stay
The view is gorgeous! The check in staff was very friendly, hotel is very clean and breakfast was wonderful.
It was fresh clean and perfect!! The bed was so comfortable and had a great nights sleep! Loved the breakfast included in the morning. The staff was great too. Will definitely come back to stay here.
Breakfast was simple. Coffee and donuts but enough to get us going in the morning.
