We enjoyed the town.

We enjoyed the town. You can walk to restaurants & stores depending on your location. The lake and docks are great. Close to the Ponderosa State Park. Lots of choices for hotels, restaurants and activities. The boats don't run in the fall so we missed the sunset cruise. Close drive to everything. Hiking, walking, boating when applicable. Our stay was in early October so no boat trips were available. We ate at the Shore Hotel lunch twice on the lake. Food was excellent. We ate at Steamers & Steak House. We did not like the Mexican Restaurant, it was on the water. Lardo was excellent also. Lots of choices for al meals.

It’s a beautiful place to visit could have spent longer time...

It’s a beautiful place to visit could have spent longer time enjoying the scenery. Stores downtown close too early though especially for a Friday night. Eat dinner at the Shore Lodge down stairs on the lake you’ll have a great meal with a beautiful view. It’s a hidden gym

The people weren't friendly and act like out of town people...

The people weren't friendly and act like out of town people are a bother. The first restaurant we tried had an hour wait but they had closed off empty tables in the restaurant and using only a few outside tables. We had to go to another which treated us fine, but run down and not the place we wanted to treat our elderly mother. The traffic and road construction in the middle of town was a mess. This was a trip to attend a memorial and let my mother remember her days in this area, but not the same town anymore. We should have just driven home all the way that night! Waste of time and money.

Sub par service.

Sub par service. We couldn’t use the bathroom sink as it was plugged the entire time. Called front desk who advised they would have it fixed…never happened. Also the tv remote didn’t work and also no contact. The last is a trust issue that could have affected our health. My wife and I are elderly. On the day we checked out both of us had coffee and water in our room. Later I went for a walk and stopped at the front desk for coffee and was told they didn’t have any coffee nor had they made any today as they were on a mandatory water boil because of an unknown water issue. I asked why the guests weren’t notified and the clerk responded with a shoulder shrug.

McCall is a very beautiful and magical place.

McCall is a very beautiful and magical place. The pace is relaxing and soothing. Everyone I spoke with in the shops and eateries were so very nice and helpful. This is a great place to come and heal your mind, body, and soul. You definitely want to spend time at the lakes edge, take your shoes off and walk into the healing waters, or better yet, swim if you can.

Loved the scenery, the wildlife just walks around like they own the place. The shops and thrift stores all located in walking distance of each other. The friendliest people who are native to the area and work or live nearby. Great places to eat and drinking establishments with fabulous views. Quaint beautiful place to enjoy a weekend with family and friends! I just loved McCall!

Hotel was located close to downtown McCall, within easy walking distance of restaurants. Room was spacious and comfortable and clean. Hotel has and indoor pool and laundry although I did not use these.
