This was a lovely place to stay. Our room (212) was small but well appointed and tastefully decorated. The continental breakfast choices were first class and the fire 🔥 pit outside was a beautiful place to spend the evening chatting to other guests. Can't speak highly enough of this place and the extremely helpful staff.

It’s a quaint little island, most people were friendly. My favorite restaurant was brotherhood of thieves, cru restaurant was over priced and over rated. I would not recommend Billy’s restaurant very expensive and tasteless food.

What can I say about Nantucket that hasn't already been...

What can I say about Nantucket that hasn't already been written about? Its a beautiful, understated paradise. Its a bucket list destination for a reason. The rich history, the ease of access, the beauty, charm, restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc. Billionaires' yachts juxtaposed with fishing boats. A tiny uear round community that has the infrastructure to withstand hoards of summer visitors. Nantucket... she is the ultimate hostess.

Nantucket is expensive both lodging and food.

Nantucket is expensive both lodging and food. There is a lot of walking with hills and rough streets. Take great shoes for stability and mind your step. There are lots of benches where you can take a break. Cars stop if you are trying to cross a street. It is charming and worth a visit especially if you like shopping. We walked almost everywhere. There is a free bus that travels around the island. We took it to Sconset. We took two cabs for local dining, again quite expensive.

Nantucket is very clean, very old, very well maintained.

Nantucket is very clean, very old, very well maintained. It is also very expensive. I liked the Straight Wharf Fish the best because I could get more "authentic" (read "simpler") food rather than the very elaborate cuisine from other cultures.

Overpriced islet for seeing and being seen.

Overpriced islet for seeing and being seen. Everything is extremely expensive. Restaurants charge a lot for average food. Hotels are very old, though clean. Some people think it is charming. It think it is boring. There are better beaches on Cape Cod and everything there is cheaper. People are over/under dressed. They wear designer clothes for the date, even if the weather is too cold for that sun dress. Women wearing high heels on cobble stones. If you like window shopping and paying Manhattan prices for everything and want to wear ridiculous jewelry on the street because you don’t have anywhere else to wear it, this is the place for you. I’m jaded because I’ve been here so many times. If you are fishing out to sea from here, it is a good place to keep your sport fishing boat. If you need a place to sail to, well, the launch is $65 RT for a couple. That’s extremely high. Martha’s Vineyard is a lot cheaper as is Chatham.

The architecture. The cobblestone streets and trees.

The architecture. The cobblestone streets and trees. Downtown has great shops, restaurants, The Library! I loved the Harbor, The Wave Bus and the 2 beaches I visited, Sconset and Jetties. The people! So friendly and interesting. It's a quick plane ride from NYC to a little slice of heaven.

The housekeeper is so lovely. The house is fantastic, the room Cyrus is very cute and very clean, even if the windows are slamed because of the storm outside. The house, an old lady, is genuinely clean and cosyThe breakfast is complete, the house is very well located : 6min walking to the ferry and the less to the restaurants and pubs.
