Enjoyed the location of this historic house perched on a cliff high above the Missisippi. Sitting watching the river flow by was unique I could have done it for ages. Amazing street - houses, interesting historic and military cemeteries just over the road. Great breakfast, lovely room, very clean. The town itself has a fascinating history - watch the 25 min video in info centre.

We had a fantastic stay here. The house is beautiful, very clean, the hosts are so friendly and the breakfast delicious. You can walk everywhere in town and there is much to see and do. The roads are very quiet if you want to see anything just outside town. If you are visiting Natchez I would highly recommend staying at Beaumont House to fullly experience real Southern charm.

Natchez has a history that uncludes the slave trade, Jin Crow, antebellum south and all that goes with those things. It is history we desperately need to learn as a country. I suggest focusing on telling that story during the Pilgrimage when Natchez is at it's loveliest. The River is magnificent there. So much potential. The city needs advertising and expressly racial and economic justice oriented tours.

Great: Longwood Mansion (our favorite) and Stanton Hall; Rev's Natchez History Tours; Shrimp and Grits at the Magnolia Grill; Old South Winery wine tasting and very ample cheese and cracker tray Not so great: No convenient transportation to and from the Jackson Airport.

Natchez is a great place to visit.

Natchez is a great place to visit. Street fairs, fireworks on the river, the yearly hot air balloon festival, touring of the antebellum homes, and restaurants with great food. There is always something for everyone. Southern hospitality at its best.

Natchez is filled with gracious southern charm and very nice people. We dined at the Camp Restaurant and met several fellow travelers and locals also who welcomed us. We toured the downtown area and walked along the Mississippi River at several different places. We could have stayed another day to explore more venues but had to leave to keep on our preset schedule.

Good food at Pig Out In BBQ! Good customer service and friendly nice people everywhere I went: hotel, 2 restaurants, 2 National Parks sites. The William Johnson house and NPS exhibit are a really good exhibit lots of good historical information.

The Turning Angel Cemetery is nice.

The Turning Angel Cemetery is nice. The Steampunk Coffee shop is exquisite. Magnolia Grill had the best fried green tomatoes with hot sauce in the batter, Natchez has a random mix of rundown buildings and beautiful historic restored residences. There are cats and churches everywhere! This was delightful for us.

Jane made sure we were welcome with just 4 hours notice. Drinks and snacks were provided for our arrival which was a lovely touch. The cottage was quaint and absolutely fitting with the rest of Natchez. Location meant that all the places of interest and amenities such as supermarket were within walking distance or a very short drive away. Would absolutely use this lovely place again if we are ever round that way. Thank you, Jane
