Classy and hip town with loads of history, amazing food and tons to do! Absolutely loved all the preserved houses from the 1800's -- it gives Newport such a cool vibe. Lots to do with visiting all the Marble Mansions (the Breakers is my favorite and definitely worth the visit! We got the all access pass and were able to see multiple properties). The cliff walk is scenic and beautiful -- a fabulous 3.5 mile hike. Multiple beaches to go to. National park and lighthouse. Sailing museum and Tennis Museum. Bowen's Wharf and walking Thames St./American's Cup ave. 22Bowens, the Mooring and Midtown Oyster Bar were all fantastic restaurants. Super family friendly. Totally walkable but they also have a free trolley that brings you up and down Newport. 10/10 -- cannot wait to go back!

One Pelham East was a supper fun bar but there are plenty of more quiet bars and restaurants as well. Cliff-walk was also very beautiful and a nice morning stroll. The Oyster Bar was the best meal I've had in a long time. So much to explore via bike!

Loved the Newport Mansion but needed 2 full days to explore them and only had 1 day. Would have loved to do a ghost tour but was too tired after walking all day. Cute town . Anthony’s seafood was the best ! The Pearl was good too and so was Benjamin’s.

Newport RI is a wonderful destination.
Newport RI is a wonderful destination. Our trip was a let down due to the hotel/motel experience. We dreaded returning to the room, but had to as we needed to sleep, etc. . . Other options were not available due to annual folk festival going on. . . .Do not use Booking.Com to reserve a place to stay. They obviously did not check this property out before listing it as one of the lodging choices in Newport, RI.

Newport is the perfect , fairy tale beach town with beautiful people, shops, restaurants, boats bobbing about and a cutesie Main Street.
The “cliff walk” is gorgeous and entry into at least one one gilded age large mansion can save you a trip to Europe 😬!
As a tennis player and fan, I especially enjoyed visiting the international tennis hall of fame on Bellevue St. Downtown.
The icing on the cake was the wooden elephant migration art installation at Salve Regina univ grounds by the waterfront - it’s free. Also in the backyards of “the breakers” mansion.

I loved everything about Newport - except the hotel I stayed in. I loved its greenness, I loved its Victorian homes, its beautiful intimate beaches. Loved seeing it’s over-the-top mansions built by movers and shakers of yore.
Super comfortable room with everything we could need. Delicious breakfast, varied tasty dishes each day. Home baked cookies available in the afternoons. Cheese and wine at 5.00 which made for a lovely way to meet other guests. Shelby made us feel completely 'at home' throughout with thoughtful touches to make our stay very relaxing.
and looked after us exceptionally well. Excellent location to enjoy Newport.
