The Ogden area is beautiful. Wasatch Mountains are different than others and interesting to look at. For us it was easy to get together with family and get to an appointment in Salt Lake City with the closeness to the freeway. Many places to eat, with lots of good food. It was fairly easy for us to get around Ogden since we lived there for 16 years and come back to visit family whenever we can.
This particular best western pluse canyon pines in horrible. I would not recommend anyone going there. The hot tub was absolutely filthy, and the staff did not care. The manager on staff, Nicolas ,was very rude, unhelpful and frankly disgusting. The staff is very poorly trained.
I grew up near Ogden and Lived in Ogden for 40 years. Ogden is a great city, although it has changed a great deal over the years. There were once shops all along Washington blvd. People could walk from business to business, window shopping was fun. All of that has changed as everyplace has with the times, the changes have been good and it’s still a great place. There are a lot of recreation areas, hiking, biking and walking trails, movie theaters, and of course the Egyptian theater which is a historical land mark the Union Pacific train station and the museum, cultural events like the art stroll, then there’s dinosaur park which has been recently expanded, the canyons are beautiful year round. They are especially beautiful in the fall, so if you’re a leader that is a good time to take a drive up Ogden canyon. Ogden is also home to historic 25th street. Ogden is sure to please everyone that visits, many visitors end up staying and making Ogden their home. It is a great place.
It was horrible. People sleeping and doing drugs in the parking lot. Black mold in bathroom. Full size mattress on a queen size box springs. Shower flooded bathroom. Locked my husband out for 4 to 5 hours while I was at work. He locked hid ID and key to room in room and they wouldn't let him inside. He even had to wait outside for me in Utah cold till 10pm.
Ogden has a lot of great restaurants and friendly people. We tried a lot of restaurants but enjoyed a Mexican restaurant that had amazing food and karaoke. Also a hamburger place that was great. We visited Salt Lake City for Christmas arts and crafts show. We also went off roading right outside Ogden.
The room we received was "upgraded" and still simple and clean on the 1st floor. The motel is close to the freeway and down the road are most things you might need while staying awhile or passing through. The pool was disgusting and not open and it was the end of June!
I stay in hotels a lot, including courtyard Marriott properties but I can’t think of a recent stay where the staff have been as attentive, friendly and helpful as they are at the Ogden courtyard Marriott. They really made me feel very comfortable, they were super helpful and knowledgable about the area and it always felt like a genuine enthusiasm to be helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.
This place is a total chaos. There were 5 flies on the room ceiling, mildew on the lamp shades, curtains and door. There was also a note that came from the connecting room that read: Hello neighbor! It is under "renovation" so there were construction workers all over the place and noise. This place is unsafe and unhealthy. Is close to downtown, but in the middle of nowhere. I had to run for my life and book a hotel in the downtown area.
All round a good choice for location, cleanliness, staff (Tim at reception). A hotel is new, clean and fresh, and the room very comfortable for the two of us. An easy walk to great pubs and restaurants. Two recommendations would be Stella's for dinner, great ambiance, food and service, and for any Beatles fan the City Club is a must.
This was one of the best stops i've made on my way through. The hotel staff is just wonderful and very accommodating. The rooms are very nicely appointed with the prettiest colors/pictures and overall decor. The beds are too wonderful to put into words.
Love the location being right off the highway. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are large. We had a king bed with a sofa bed and still had enough room for a twin air mattress.
The breakfast was very tasty with a good variety of choices. BUT. We arrived at the breakfast area at 6.05 a.m., and most of the tables had coffee rings and/or crumbs on them. Unappealing.
This is the hotel we stay at when we visit Ogden. Breakfast is always good and it’s always perfectly located for the things we like to do. The people are always kind and helpful.
At least there was a fridge on the room (some hotels don't even have that). The shower was nice sized.
The hotel had a pool table and games and our room had a larger than average fridge.
Location was great, booked at short notice, breakfast was great, we loved Ogden
room was clean and the hotel felt safe for a budget hotel!
Cheap motel, room still good for the price to pay.
Theres everything you need here.
