Hallway carpets dirty, curtains frayed, paint colors horrible and dated. Ceiling tiles water- stained in elevator area and bucket sitting in the hall where tiles were missing.
Front desk closed on Sunday. No one there for check out or to request unopened shampoo and conditioner bottles for our rooms aftecheck-in. Wifi bounced from Holiday Inn.
Beds comfortable, clean linens and floors appreciated in bedrooms. Maids very nice and helpful. View of lake and mountains beautiful from rooms facing that direction. It would be nice to see the view when lying in bed, but solid balastrades block the view unless you stand.
Fronts desk girl not friendly or welcoming. No one answered the front desk phone after multiple attempts on check out day. Parking lot has huge potholes. Coffee in grab a breakfast to tasted like old oil. Disappointing for a place in such a beautiful location.

Everything was incredible and exactly what we had imagined. We loved being able to cook, open the dome, use the fire pit, see wildlife.

Known for their hot springs but if you just want to relax and look at beautiful scenery, this is a nice little town to visit. My only complaint, and this goes for all the little towns I've visited in CO, is that there isn't a wide variety of restaurants. Mostly burgers, tacos, bar b que and maybe a Thai or Chinese restaurant, very few healthy options. And some restaurants close after lunch, making dinner-time even more difficult. Great escape from the AZ heat!

Our trip to Pagosa Springs was planned last minute after our plans to Ruidoso, NM had to be cancelled because of devastating fires. We honestly didn't know much about Pagosa before we arrived, we were just looking for a mountain getaway. We were pleasantly surprised to find a great home surrounded by forest, as well as a charming town, with great restaurants, friendly people and necessary amenities. We would have loved to have spent more time exploring the San Juan River and the hot springs. We definitely want to come back.

It is a great little town. The people are very friendly. They have some great food, and the town always has some activity going. After a full day of skiing, it has several places to unwind. During the sumer there are plenty of activities for everyone. And the weather is perfect.

We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit. This place magically does that for us . It's our second time here in 10 years and I don't like to revisit places but this is our magical place. The Alley House was a great delight! The crime free atmosphere was refreshing. It is a destination to behold. There are few places like this to experience.

Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers!
Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers! Many options for walking/hiking. Abundant lakes in and near the city if you love to fish! Very nice walking trail that follows the river through town.
The hot springs are ok if you like that sort of thing, but are on the pricey side.
Not so great: Not many dining options (a lot of the restaurants seem to be closed on Sunday) and seem to lean toward brew pubs and burger joints.

Great location. If you are planning on visiting the hot spring, you would be a fool to pay thousands of dollars for mediocre at best hotel. This place is right next door. It's very affordable and very clean. Probably the best motel I have ever stayed at.
