We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into while winding into Pine Hill on dark roads. But once we got there, we realized it was exactly where we needed to be.

I had already been going here as a budget motel in the Big Indian area. Two years ago they renovated and did a really good job, very pleasant painting of the rooms and nice artwork. These rooms are suites and had a full fridge and kitchen with silverware/plates etc. A large table and office style chair for work, a comfy chair and two king size beds. There is no housekeeping during your stay, but if you need anything (coffee, towels, etc) the office is open and quite happy to help.

It has a great outdoor pool with attentive pool staff though it could use a few updates. The rooms are fairly simple but it has everything you need and is a great location.

This is a very small town (a single street with commercial establishments and a few residential neighborhoods off of the 'main strip.' It is the middle of the Catskills, and it doesn't get much prettier than that. I suspect it is very busy in ski season, being only 2 miles from a major ski center.

I hiked 30 miles in the Catskills in two days, and staying in Pine Hill made that possible. It's a short drive from pretty much any trailhead in the Catskill region. I didn't really check out most of the town, but the Colonial Inn was really nice.

The Pine Hill Arms was very cosy and well run. Our room was basic but very clean with plenty of fresh towels and nice quality cotton bedding. The hotel was obviously run w a lot of love and care by Jane and her team. This is the friendliest staff and guests too. Many guests drink and dine in the ski lodge inspired restaurant. We met so many of the guests who I was told live there on the weekends to come up to ski. We’ll be back for sure.

The hotel is in a really old building where nothing is in a straight line. The lounge downstairs is amazing. If you love a bit of history take a visit to this hotel! As others have said you will either love this hotel or hate it. It is very basic. The room was cold when we got in it (they ask you to switch off the heating when you leave) however it soon warmed up. The room was very small and there was no coffee maker in the room.

Very cool old building and quaint little mountain town to walk around in. Two art exhibits were going nearby. The porch of the hotel was very comfortable to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather.

Cozy rooms in Pine Hill hamlet, just minutes away from the slopes. The manager is incredibly helpful. Recommended!
