United KingdomFor a budget motel, the owners could not do more to make their guests’ stay very pleasant. From checking in, to departure they were working non stop to make our stay a good one. Clean rooms, lots of good facilities. We felt safe, and were very well positioned to visit many destinations. We would not hesitate to recommend or to return.

United StatesThis was our second stay at Murphy’s Law and we enjoyed it just as much as our first visit. The room was comfortable and very clean. The Murphy’s Law Public House has friendly service and good food. Leeds is a tiny town but is blessed with an excellent bakery, Lindsey’s breakfast place, and coffee shop.

For our purposes the location was ideal as we had planned to attend the 4th of July fireworks in Cairo. The hotel is charming with an interesting history. Each room has a different decor and while very basic has everything one needs. Located on a back road and with a lake behind the hotel the vibe is peaceful and serene. Breakfast was simple but did offer a variety of fresh fruit and the coffee was very good. We enjoyed our morning meal and a bit of reading on the wrap around porch which was delightful.

The hotel is a beautiful historical manor .
Very nicely decorated and comfortable.
It is perfectly located close to all our hiking trails.
The only disappointment the restaurant was close and it wasn't specified while we were booking. It's not a big problem. We just had to go back to town for dinner..
We were traveling with two dogs, which one is a service animal and the other still in training and we all were warmly welcome.We will be back.

This property is a beautiful old hotel. Upon entering I felt like I was in Germany in 1900’s.
Personally I love that. The host was very friendly. The room was clean. The bathroom needs some updating. They have wonderful fire pits to sit around. A nice experience for one night.

Location was good. This is an old Catskills mountain hotel, first used in 1865. Great nostalgia all over the walls of the hotel. Our room was small, but amenities were fine.
