My first trip to Sag Harbor and staying at Baron’s Cove was a great beginning. Beautiful location, friendly staff, nice room, free bicycles, live music, great bar........they had it all. A walk through town is a must, as well as seafood from The Dock. Easily walk or bike. Had dinner at Dopo La Spiaggia and the squid ink pasta was off the charts good with a favorable wine selection. Would love to go back and stay longer!
Went to meet family members for the first time in 50 years. When we found out that the original “sag harbor hotel” was only accessible by ferry these wonderful people truly turned what could’ve been a nightmare into a beautiful experience.
Visiting before Memorial day is great, you can park at the beaches and swim. Easy to go to Shelter Island from there too and enjoy a day on sandy beaches. Sag Harbor is small with a few great restaurants, Like Wölffer Estate's place, and the yoghurt place.
This is the perfect weekend getaway. It didn't take much to have a great time. We walked on the beach, visited friends, went out to dinner. Surprisingly, there was more activity in the month of February than I would have expected, and it was also warmer than I expected.
Sag Harbor is a beautiful captivating coastal village. It is a real deep water leisure port and well worth a visit. We ate at the American Hotel. I would recommend anyone to dine at this amazing restaurant. And if there is any wine you have not been able to find, The American Hotel will be odds on to have it! Sag harbor is a must and everything is within walking distance.
We enjoyed our stay in Sag Harbor; it' a small town but accessible to the other side of Long Island and the Hamptons. Good restaurants and we had an excellent dinner at Page. Easy and attractive drive to Montauk Lighthouse. We enjoyed seeing the magnificent estates in East Hampton and Southampton. The beaches on the other side of the Island are long and wide; we loved walking on them and being the only people on the beaches (mid May).
