Embassy Suites Saint Louis - Downtown, hotel in Saint Louis

This downtown hotel is adjacent to America’s Convention Center and the Edward Jones Dome, home of the Saint Louis Rams. It features an indoor pool and spacious suites with flat-screen TVs.

Breakfast made to order was consistent and the cook did a great job with omelettes. We also took advantage of social hour bar & bites. Valet service for the car was good with minimal wait. The separate living room from the bedroom was helpful as one of us got sick and had to hole up for a day. Liked being able to open windows; always look for a refrigerator, microwave and safe to be included. Good location - within walking distance to Busch Stadium.

My sister now resides in a very busy section of St. Louis.

My sister now resides in a very busy section of St. Louis. I found driving on unfamiliar roads unnerving. There was lots of car traffic on the roads. I am not a confident driver. (I am 77 years old and this was my first time traveling alone to a new place.) I am sure that I will find a second trip to visit my sister less stressful.

I liked Saint Louis a lot!

I liked Saint Louis a lot! The food and entertainment was great! Except I was supposed to ride on the horse and carriage but the guy controlling it never showed up at the time we booked and he stopped answering his phone. I was really looking forward to that ride.

Very walkable, went out at night to view the arch and felt safe but didn’t stay out past 9pm. Plenty of people out and about during that time. Walked down to the City Garden Sculpture Park after dinner what a nice place in the middle of a big city. Loved all the big pots of flowers around the city.

When you stay in St. Louis, firstly, do your homework!

When you stay in St. Louis, firstly, do your homework! The price isn't the most important part. Location is subjective. When going to a concert or event, consider the crowds. Often when we're done, getting out and back to our hotel is a priority. So we have several different ones we like for different reasons. A great free breakfast saves money, so a more expensive room is cheaper because you're not paying $15 a plate for it. Likewise, parking is a huge factor; public parking isn't always available. And talk to your valets, concierge, and the hotel about any free stuff or advice. Keep a few hours open for exploring. If you're up for it, check out what's going on locally.
